    1. FISHER - Blue Hill Presbyterian Church
    2. Susan Young
    3. Can someone tell me where exactly Blue Hill Presbyterian Church is located? I am searching for Peter K. FISHER b. 18 Jul 1819 d. 17 Jul 1883 and he is buried at Harmony Cemetery in Milton, Northumberland Co. He married (1st) Margaret WEITZEL, (2nd) Lucianna (nee SHERMAN) REIGEL, (3rd) Louisa STUMP. Currently I am trying to research the family of Joseph FISHER and Catherine MINEGAR of Catawissa, Columbia Co. to see if Peter K. FISHER could possibly fit into that family. In particular, Joseph FISHER'S son, Joseph Jr. and his wife Mary KIMBPEL/KIMBLE/KIMBALL or various spellings. According to the book on Joseph FISHER and Catherine MINEGAR most of their children attended Blue Hill Presbyterian Church. The book also states the church is no longer standing, but there is a graveyard. Are there baptism and burial records available for this church and if so, where can they be found at? Other than this book I haven't been able to find any references to the church. Thanks for any assistance. Sue Young Seminole, FL

    3. I have several questions and hope someone on the list can help. 1. In the 1830 Census Index, a William CARAHER is listed in North Berwick. If anyone has access to the 1830 Census, I'm very interested in learning about other residents of Wm's household so that perhaps I will get some indication of his age in 1830. 2. Can anyone give guidance as to where I could find any other info on residents of N. Berwick in 1830? If this is the person I'm hoping it is, there's a good chance he was a Presbyterian. Thanks for ANY help at all! BarbaraCB

    2. Alice Kern
    3. Hi List, I have recently found out that my ancestor John KERN migrated from Columbia County to Michigan in 1835. I know that he left one son behind but traveling with him were some/all of his five daughters. I have been able to identify two of daughters, Clarrisa KERN (MINTON) and Elizabeth KERN (WAGGONER), they show up in Michigan. Does anyone else have a family who followed this migration route? I know that these migrants usually travelled in groups. John KERN owned property in what is now Beaver Township, Columbia Cty. Alice

    1. Sechler, Rishel, Reese, Diehl, Mauser, Morrison Families
    2. Michael Morrison
    3. Joseph Sechler, along with his brothers, Jacob and John, were early settlers in the Danville area. In the early 1800s, Joseph died and as was the custom, a guardian was appointed to oversee the estate of the minor children and his widow. About 1818, the estate was distributed to the children, who with the exception of the son, Jacob, were all married: Elizabeth Sechler had married Edward Morrison Friney (Sophrina?) Sechler had married Francis Reese (Charles Francis) Catherine Sechler had married Christian Mauser Magdalena Sechler had married Christian Deihl Mary Sechler had married Peter Rishel. Although I would enjoy hearing from anyone researching the families listed above, my questions have to do with Peter Rishel. Is there anyone on the list that knows if the Peter Rishel who married Mary Sechler was a son of Martin Luther Rishel of Mahoning Twp or a Peter from one of the other branches? Also, in 1850, there was a Peter and Mary Rishel living in Mahoning Twp. Their children's names were Joseph (he married Phoebe Heimbach); Mary Rishel and Elizabeth Rishel Barns or Barnd. Is this the Peter who married Mary Sechler? Any insight would be appreciated. William died 3/17/1991 and is buried in Roselawn Cemetary. If anyone can help with info on either of these individuals, I would be greatly appreciative. I have also been trying to locate an obituary for William, but I am not certain of what newspapers are in the Berwick area and how to get a copy of the obituary. Thanks for your help. Chasity
