    3. Wow, Thanks to all who answered my St Gabriel's request. I'm trying to find out what happened to my great grandfather, William Edward ECKERD. He was married to Bertha Laura ADELMAN, (d/o George B ADELMAN) They married in 1900 or 1902. They had two children, George Edward ECKERD, b. Nov 1907, and Lydia ECKERD b.1909 d. 1910. George either changed his name in honor of, or was adopted by his mothers second husband, Hugh Roberts (b. 1893 d. 1925) This has been the family mystery for over 60 years. What happened to William? Has anyone come across these names in their research? --Mary--

    3. I am looking for information on George and Ann Randall. They were the parents of Pamela Ann Randall b. in Catawissa around 1809. She was the wife of Ezra S. Hayhurst. I would like to know the parents of George and the parents and maiden name of Ann. They probably came to the area with the delegation of Quakers who came into the then Northumberland County from Berks County. Does anyone have information on this couple?

    3. I am looking for parents and siblings of Russell P Welliver (b. abt 1812, PA). He married Eliza Cool, d of John and Margaret Decker Cool. (Eliza's brother Jacob has a son Russell Welliver Cool, he also came to Mercer IL) He was in Greenwood in 1840 census, next door to John Cool. Still in Greenwood in 1850. By 1860 he is in Mercer Co. Moreland is a township in Lycoming County I have seen Moreland listed on some old maps but there is a section in Moreland Twp. known as Moreland there are two churches in the Twp. called Moreland (Moreland Baptist & Moreland Community) as for Muncie it is now spelled Muncy and is about 3 miles from the Moreland Twp. or Moreland area of which you are speaking. 3. I am looking for other SCOUT family researchers who may be working on Columbia County, PA family origins from about 1820 to 1850. I need help to get William's children and grandchildren sorted out. Looking for connection to families of William Scout b. abt. 1755 Bucks Co, and wife Elizabeth Dyer. They had among the children: John Dyer Scout married to Eleanor McWilliams. John Dyer Scout died July, 1826, Liberty Twp., Columbia Co., PA. Another son, William Scout, (Jr.), and wife Mary, I believe lived in Columbia County from the census findings stated in next paragraph. Elizabeth Dyer and Wm. Scout Sr. also had daughters, Elizabeth Scout m. James Pollock; Mary Scout m. John Pollock (John & James are brothers); Charlotte Scout m. Mandis Titus; and Harriet Scout m. James McKee. The 1850 census has a Wm. Scout age 69 and Mary age 64, living in Anthony Twp., Montour County. I suspect this is William Scout Jr. (as I know that William Sr., his father, was dead by then per Estate Probate 1822 in Liberty Twp.) The others living in the Wm. Scout household on that 1850 census are Maria age 29, Cath. age 22, Wm. Scout age 21, Wm. Montague age 13, Eliz. Montague age 8, James Montague, age 11, and Christianna Montague, age 40. We have not looked for the Montague connection yet. Prior to that time in 1830 census, William Scout with a large household, is in Derry Twp., Columbia County. In 1840 census, there is a William H. Scout household in Madison Twp, Columbia County. Then in 185, we see William Scout in Anthony Twp. as mentioned. I thinking that this is not migration, as it first appears, but they are caught in the redrawing of the township lines and the county lines switching back and forth between Columbia and Montour counties. I only have current township and county maps to go on. If anyone has any affiliated SCOUT family lines and would want to exchange or share, or may have more details about the William SCOUT family, please email me.
