Hi I was wondering if anyone on this list has any info or is researching Isaac HICKS who came to Buffalo Run Valley (Bellefonte area) just before 1800. He was living in Patton Township in 1827 on 300 acres He had twelve children, seven alive in 1883. (Three children were also living in other counties.) A son ~ Jacob HICKS of Halfmoon b. 1824 died 1905 ~ buried at Grays Cemetery in Stormstown, Pa A daughter ~ Hannah HICKS b. 1827 m. John Davis HUGHES ~ also lived in Huntingdon and Blair Counties. (My GGGrandparents) In the 1850 Centre Co Census these HICKS are listed: John HICKS 39 Mary HICKS 30 Hannah HICKS 62 (this could be the wife of Isaac above) Jacob HICKS 23 Elizabeth 42 Another Hicks family listed is: Abram HICKS 31 Sarah HICKS 31 Isaac HICKS 6 John HICKS 4 Please contact me if any of these names are familiar.
