I am new to this list. I am seeking information on my 3rd great grandfather Peter Shaffer b. 23 June 1809 I do not know where for sure, but possibly in Union or Snyder Co. Pennsylvania. He died 13 June 1888 in Lock Haven, Clinton Co., Pennsylvania. Peter Shaffer married Anna Page born 31 December 1812 in Snyder Co. Pa. They had the following children: Isaac b. 1833 George Page b. 1836(my 2nd great grandfather I believe he was born on a farm in Port Trevorton or Selinsgrove Snyder Co Pa.) Peter b. 1838 Barbara b. 1840 Mary b. 1842 Sarah b. 1846 Hannah b. 1850 Joseph b. 1855 Anna(Annie) b. 1858 The family moved from Snyder Co. Pa. to Northumberland Co. Pa. in abt. 1842. I believed they lived there until about 1859-60 when they moved to Lock Haven, Pa. George Page Shaffer married Annetta Winter in 1860. They raised their family in Lock Haven. There Children were: Isaac b. 1861 Mary Minervia b. 1864(she married William Peck) Agnes Elizabeth b. 1866 (she married Jacob Madder) James Fred b. 1868 George F. b. 1870 Sarah Annetta b. 1872 Catherine T. b. 1875 Samuel Winter b. 1876 George died 10 May 1918.
