Sayers relict of the late David Sayers died at her home in Marsh Creek on Tuesday morning following an illness with a complication of diseases aged 67 years. She was born in Centre Co. on Nov. 19, 1861 daughter of Mr. & Mrs. David McCloskey both deceased; funeral serivces held on Friday afternoon from the Romola Church interment at cemetery adjoining. Book 149 pg. 96 - Oct 11, 1931 Leathers - Mrs. Ida Belle Leathers, wife of Charles Leathers died quite suddenly at her home at Howard on Monday morning of last week as the result of complications. She was a daughter of John and Rebecca Sayers and was born at Jacksonville 63 years ago. As a young woman she married Samuel Glossner and following his death married Charles Leathers. The latter survives with the following children: Mrs. Cleve McCauley of Monument; Mrs. S.C. Craig of Pittsburgh; LeRoy Glossner of New York; Mrs. Forest Gardner of Monument. She leaves one sister Mrs. Rachel Shamp of Jacksonville. Funeral services held at 2 last Thursday burial being made in the ________ ______ (cut off on sheet when copied in book) Book 170 pg 71 Centre Democrat Belfe Pa Thursday March 21, 1912 Mrs. Rebecca Sayers, widow of John Sayers was born in Liberty Twp. Feb 5, 1842 and died at Jacksonville Sat March 22, 1912 aged 70 yrs. 27 days- 1 brother & 1 sister; Henry Thompson & Mrs. William H. Neff of Howard; 2 daughters Mrs. West Shamp of Jacksonville and Mrs. Ida Glossner of State College. Book 136 pg 103 - (Need to check what date & where ) Mrs. Sallie K. Sayers widow of David Sayers of Jacksonville died at home of her parents Mr. & Mrs. D.K. Miller in Lock Haven on Monday morning age 30 years. She was the sister of Mrs. George M. Hoy of Hublersburg. Burial made at Jacksonville.
