    3. Hello list members. I have been contacted by a gentleman by the name of Chuck Bush, to notify the list of some good well out of print books availiable on CD Rom. These books are a valuable resource to genealogists of central PA, including Clinton County. One of the books is quite rare, and is usually not available through inter-library loan. I will post his letter and link to the list. I am not endorsing these products, but feel it is important to let everyone know they are availiable. Please, no flaming , I will not tolerate that on this list. If someone has similiar products for sale, please contact me, the list owner dwallace@cub.kcnet.org for permission to post, Thank you all for your time. See below: Hello listers, We have recently finished a digital republication of the following book: Commemorative Biographical Record of Central PA Including the Counties of Centre, Clinton, Union and Snyder published 1898 J.H Beers and Co. This book has been scanned page by page and includes every page as well as all of the pictures that appear in the original. These pages and pictures are stored as digital images and put together in an e-book form using Adobe Acrobat. By using adobe acrobat the entire work can be quickly searched for any word that appears in the book anywhere it appears. We have also provided bookmarks to each picture and biography, these work much the same as hyperlinks on a web page. The bookmarks are presented alphabetically in a structured directory tree format. This cd-rom contains the Adobe Acrobat reader software for all Windows and Macintosh computers, free on the cd. I feel that this work is of particular interest to the members of this list, as it contains biographies of many of the early settlers and their families. There is a wealth of information here for the genealogical researcher.
