My ancestors also came to America, settled in PA, and later some went to IL. It is rumored that a grandmother of mine was the grand daughter of William Penn, but no one has been able to verify that.  That would be a real coup if I could do that, since I have lived in PA all my life.       Since many of your ancestors ran the same route, the question that I would like to ask you is does anyone have records of your ancestors buying land in PA from Edward Jarvis ELDRED?  He worked for Joseph Priestly, whose home was in North Umberland, near Sunbury, PA.
