    1. Swenson - Johnson - Gullburg - Anderson
    2. Beginning to research the following families with ties to Renovo - Carl Magnus Swenson (wife Eva Gummesson) whose family was close friends with members of the Gullburg family of Renovo and also Gus and Sadie Johnson. The Johnson's ran a boarding house in Renovo around 1910 before moving out of Renovo about 1920 to (?). The Johnson's remained close with the Swanson's - especially Eva and Carl's son-in-law Carl Oskar Anderson (married Anna Maria Swanson) who had been a boarder at the Johnson's when he came to Renovo. Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Although I have been doing family research for many years - this is the first time I have done any in the Clinton area - or Pennsylvania for that matter. Thanks in advance - Juli Anderson

    3. Juli, the Renovo Public Library maintains an excellent clipping service on B-M-D events of residents of the area. They served me very well in the past. Good Luck! 3. A North Bend area woman, now deceased, Lola Wallace, was related into the Swanson family. Most of her research papers are in 15 to 20 boxes archived at Penn State University, Pattee Library, Paterno Wing, rare books and manuscripts. Lola was a Welch and somehow the Welch's and Swansons tie together. Lola did a lot of local history work, and helped many enter the DAR. I am not sure where the Swansons ended up, but she had a lot of relatives who moved to Sunville, Venango County.
