    3. Thanks for the response. Thing is I was just in Lock Haven and Beech Creek on Thursday. Went to the Ross Library and the Court House. I didn't have a date of death for Nola (Ludlow) Summers then. Always seems after you go you find out something that would of been a help. Thought maybe I could save myself from driving another 3 hours, but I do plan on coming this summer so I will look then. Thanks. 1. re:Summerson marriage date
    2. Ken & Dianne
    3. The date of William Summerson's second marriage was most likely derived from the 1900 census as it said that they had been married 28 yrs. It also said that Nancy had given birth to 10 children, and only 8 were living. Does anyone know if all the children she had given birth to, were by the Summerson marriage or had she perhaps been married previously also? I only have names of 5 of hers and William Summerson's children. If anyone out theere know data on the rest of them, I would appreciate it if you would post to either this board or to the Clinton Co. page, and share that information with all of the Summerson researchers, please. Thank you, Dianne Croak

    3. Mr. Richard Winters, I thank you so very much for trying to find a death record or obit for William Summerson. You asked where I got the info. on William remarrying in 1872, I will not name the person, because she lives in Clinton Co., & well known. I thought it to be good info. and it is posted on my husband's webpage the same way........so if this is not the valid date that William married Nancy A. Bechtol, please let me know so I can change it, or delete it. The William Summerson that I am referring to was born Nov. 1827, died in 1903.....I do not have a month and day of death. I have all the census for Clinton Co., and since he was already married and living with wife on 1850 census, and there is no obit for him, I was hoping that his marriage to second wife, Nancy, would show his parents so that I would have actual proof that he was son of Joseph & Sarah (Shaffer) Summerson. I have obit for Sarah, but it did not list her survivors. (children) Thank you again, Dianne Croak

    1. Re: Marriage lookup?
    2. Dave Wallace
    3. Dianne, We checked the Ross Library today for a marriage record, could not find one. From My database, Williams first wife, a Daugherty, died in 1871. From an age located today for Nancy A Bechtol, she would have been 32 years old when she married William, The Bechtol genealogy(hard to follow) was checked, and no Nancy Bechtol was found, so my thinking at age 32 she may have had a prior marriage, and Bechtol was her married name. She is also buried in Leidy Twp., Clinton County. Also wanted to let you to know to check ut the Clinton County Webpage, http://www.kcnet.org/~history and check the "MAYNARDS" history of the townships. A person has started to transcribe the formation of the townships, as recorded in this 1800's book, and there are 5 of them posted! 1. PRETTY PARK.EXE IS A VIRUS!!!
    2. Mike
    3. I do not know why we have not seen more warnings of this, but I have received this worm several times in the past week. Below is information and directions to remove it. Mike Wennin Come Visit the Cameron County Genealogy Project! http://www.pa-roots.com/cameron The PrettyPark Worm - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- What is PrettyPark? "PrettyPark" is a worm, which is a program that is similar to a virus. It spreads from one computer to another in the form of an attachment to email messages and newsgroup posts. Usually what happens is that somebody sends you a legitimate e-mail message, and without the sender's knowledge, the worm generates a second e-mail message that is also sent to you. The second message has the title C:\CoolProgs\Pretty Park.exe. A file is attached named PrettyPark.EXE. Your computer can't get infected with the worm simply from downloading that email. It will get infected with the worm if you double-click on the PrettyPark.EXE attachment to open it. If you do this, you may see the Windows 3D Pipe screen saver displayed. Once your computer is infected with PrettyPark, the emails you send and the news articles you post will all generate a second email to the recipient(s) with the worm program attached. What can I do? You have two possible courses of action: If you are a registered owner of a commercial antivirus program, you may want to see if there's an update available which addresses Pretty Park. You can try removing PrettyPark from your system manually. You can find instructions on Symantec's site: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/prettypark.worm.html The manual fix involves editing the registry, and is therefore only recommended if you're an advanced user of Windows. Edit your registry at your own risk! If you make a mistake when editing your registry, you might not be able to boot back into Windows. Together Networks assumes no responsibility for errors made while editing your registry! In addition, you MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE CORRECT ORDER for them to work properly. If you delete files32.vxd before editing the registry as described on Symantec's site, you will not be able to run any programs in Windows once you restart your computer, including the Registry Editor. If you are uncomfortable with ANY part of the procedure, we recommend contacting your ISP, computer manufacturer, or computer consultant for help, or purchasing an up-to-date antivirus software package capable of disinfecting your machine for you. If your computer was infected and you suspect you may have sent PrettyPark to anyone via email, you should write to them and let them know, so they can disinfect their machines as well and stop the spread of the worm. - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Copyright © 1998, 1999 Together Networks Send Me Info!
