    3. This brings up a question that I have had for awhile about who to donate items to, the Clearfield County Historical Society, the genealogical society ( I don't think I knew there was one), or the public library in Clearfield. The reason that I struggle with this is that the Historical Society is frequently closed where as the public library nearby is almost always open. So, if the records were at the library they would be more readily available to those who can only be in town on certain days or in certain months. I would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this. Congratulations Sharon, and your husband, for purchasing the book. What a neat thing to do. Beverly Carter bcarter2@wi.rr.com Hi listers, My husband, completely unknown to me, bid on and won the "In the Heart of Pennsylvania" 19th and 20th Century Quiltmaking Traditions book. It arrived today. It was published in 1985, and is in brand-new condition. I'm very willing to share anything from this book that anyone is interested in, and when we go to a family reunion in Kylertown (Clearfield Co.) this summer, we'll donate it to the genealogical society there, unless anyone has better suggestions. 3. Maybe there isn't a genealogical society up there. I'm in SW Ohio and I don't get up there very often. However, the Historical Society would be an option, and the library sounds even better. I'm open to all suggestions about the best permanent home for this book. I know I've read that the Historical Society isn't open often, and we'd like the book to be available to as many people as possible. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beverly Carter" <bcarter2@wi.rr.com> To: <paclearf@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 04, 2008 11:42 AM Subject: Re: [PACLEARF] quilt book on eBay > This brings up a question that I have had for awhile about who to donate > items to, the Clearfield County Historical Society, the genealogical > society ( I don't think I knew there was one), or the public library in > Clearfield.
