Swoope St. is also Rt 153 that enters Brisbin from Houtzdale. The IOOF Cemetery is on Swoope St. that is also Rt 153. Following 153 from Houtzdale, 153 makes a sharp left turn onto Swoope St and continuing on 153 (Swoope St) takes you past the IOOF Cemetery. The cemetery is very large on the left side of the road, looks on maps like the cemetery takes up about a third of the town along Swoope St, you can't miss it, it's the only cemetery in town. I went to Google, entered "Swoope St., Brisbin,PA", that brings up a very good map with all the streets named and the Cemetery named between Egyptian and Russ Streets on Swoope also. Also shows how you can take Rt 153 also from the town of Clearfield and approach Brisbin's Swoope St. and the cemetery from the opposite direction. I remember walking past this church at least once a week while I lived in Brisbin until I was 12, and my visits back there since, I don't have an exact memory of the cemetery but I've always thought it is where it is shown on this map. Too bad this map doesn't show this cemetery the same way the Brisbin map shows the IOOF one. As I said in previous email about Brisbin being on one side of the 400 foot hill, and Houtzdale is on the opposite side of that hill, this church is at the very top of that hill on the left before you go over the hill into Brisbin. Houtzdale is a little larger in population than Brisbin, but anyone in town could tell you where exactly this cemetery is if you stop to ask while there. Also note what it says on this link "Complete cemetery records for St. Lawrence do not exist." However you could call the Christ the King Church phone number listed above to inquire.
