Looking for connections, especially descendents, of these people: Sutton Burlin WILLIAMS (b. 15 Oct 1876); around 1914-1918 married Vera Violet OSHELL (b. 12 July 1892). Vera had a son - Marvin C. SACKETT (later known as Marvin C. WILLIAMS) born 10 June 1907 in Coalport - from her first (brief) marriage to ___ SACKETT. In the 1910 US Census, Vera is back living with her parents (see below), with 3-year-old Marvin SACKETT listed as Oshell's grandson. Vera V. OSHELL and Sutton B. WILLIAMS had a daughter, Violet, born 25 Jun 1917. Marvin C. WILLIAMS married Gertrude HORNUNG in 1931, and they had four sons: Marvin Jr., Robert, Herbert and Walter Wade. By 1930, they had moved to Buffalo NY. Much later in life (prob. early 1960s), Vera married Gertrude's widowed father, Fred G. HORNUNG. Vera died 28 Jun 1980. Marvin Sr. died 30 July 1949 at age 42 while living in Middleport NY, but his oldest son, Marvin Jr., my first cousin, is still living. I am attempting to locate family members from either of these grandparents' side for him in time for our family reunion in August. I was able to easily trace both of these large families back to the 1830 Census, always living in Clearfield County (Coalport, Beccaria, Irvona) or Cambria County (White Twp), so it is quite likely there are descendents living in those areas today. I am also exploring the SACKETT connection, although I don't believe Marvin Jr. is aware that Sutton WILLIAMS was not his birth father. ====== ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND - WILLIAMS ============= Sutton B. WILLIAMS was the son of Thomas T. WILLIAMS (b. abt 1805) and Mary ___ (b. Mar 1846). Sutton had five siblings: Alfred, John L., Annie M., Charles and Benjamin. It is believed that Sutton was married prior to his marriage (around 1914-18) with Vera, as he states in the 1930 Census that he was first married in 1906. Parents of Thomas T. WILLIAMS were John T. WILLIAMS (b. abt 1805) and Ann ___ (b. abt 1814). In addition to Thomas, they had seven other children: Harriet, Benjamin, Daniel, Mary J., John, John L. and Sarah. ====== ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND - OSHELL ============= Parents of Vera Violet OSHELL were Levi T. and Ellen/Barbria ___. Married abt 1877, they had nine children besides Vera: Rachel E., Sara E., Ella, Wayne, Levi W., Mayme/Maimie, Ira S., Spirgen (?) and Zella. Parents of Levi T. OSHELL were Jesse (b. abt 1818) and Elizabeth ___ (b. abt 1817).
