Haire, 86 a retired farmer of Ligonier Valley, died yesterday morning in Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg. He was a native of Somerset County, having been born there on Mar. 29, 1857. Surviving are four children - Mrs. H.A. McMullen, Joseph L. and Quay Haire, all of New Florence are being received at the R. S. Wagner Funeral Home here, where services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Interment will be in the West Fairfield Cemetery. ========================================= HAIRE The Johnstown, PA. Born in Bradenville, PA., Apr. 18, 1877 daughter of Jacob R. and Susan (Hullenbaugh) Hill. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Virginia Berkstresser, with whom she resided and son Alvin, Petersburg, W. Va.; also six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Maude McCullough, Tucson, Ariz. Preceded in death by husband, Griffith L., and infant daughter, Garnet. Life long member of EUB Church of New Florence. Friends received in R.S. Wagner Funeral Home, New Florence, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Service at 2 p.m. Friday in funeral home, Rev. Robert Hooper. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. =========================================== HOOD Marvin James 44, New Florence RD 3, died Dec. 10, 1990 at Lee Hospital. Born Dec. 4, 1946 in Johnstown, son of James Clair and Adah A. (Younkin) Hood. Preceded in death by father, and daughter, Josie Marie. Survived by mother, New Florence RD 3; wife, former Janet K. Jenkins; and children, James and Jodie, both at home. Brother of Bonnie Bakos, Cramer; Darlene Bonnett, Shelocta; and Ivan, New Florence RD 3. Member United Methodist Church. Involved in Labor Local 910, Johnstown. Part-time driver for Griffith Bus Lines. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. R. Kenneth Keiper. Shannon Hood of Seward, died Saturday, April 9, 1994 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Survivors include grandparents Ivan and Susan Hood, New Florence RD 2, and Donald and Jane Shannon, Seward; great grandchildren Adah hood, New Florence RD 2, Jessie Philips, Berlin, Fred Lively, Blairsville, Dolores Shannon, New Florence RD 1 and Grace Moore, Seward RD 2. Services were held Tuesday At Bethel Cemetery, Clyde, Rev. R. Kenneth Keiper officiating. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence was in charge. ================================
