    1. RE: [Clearfield] Clearfield Obit Request - 1967 Myrtle HALL
    2. Jocelynn Knight
    3. Cathy, I had some luck. It was something to do on a very rainy Sunday afternoon in Iowa; the search function didn't find her as Myrtle Hall in 1967 for some unknown reason, but after I found Robert's obit and her maiden name, a search for Hall and Cunningham did find her 1967 obituary. I also went ahead and found her with her family in 1880. Like I said, it's a dreary day here and this brightened it up considerably! The Progress, Clearfield PA, Wednesday March 1, 1967, page 2 MRS. MYRTLE C. HALL Mahaffey - Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle C. Hall, 94, of Mahaffey will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Thomas G. McCracken Funeral Home here. The Rev. Luther E. Frazier will officiate and burial will be made in Mahaffey Cemetery. Mrs. Hall died Tuesday in the Adrian Hospital in Punxsutawney. She was born in Bell Township Oct.15, 1862 [should be 1872, she'd be 104!], the daughter of John and Caroline (McLaughlin) Cunningham. Surviving her are three sons and four daughters: William R. Hall, Mahaffey; David W. Hall, Glen Campbell; Harry C. Hall, Burnside; Mrs. Donald (Grace) Ecelberger and Mrs. James (Isabel) McKee, Mahaffey; Mrs. Frank (Joy) Culp, Altoona; and Mrs. Carrie Notley, Punxsutawney. Friends may call in the funeral home from 7 p.m. today until time of services Friday. The Progress, Clearfield PA, Monday October 6, 1952, page 8 ROBERT HALL Mahaffey - Robert Hall, a resident of Mahaffey for the past 60 years, died in his home Saturday morning at 10:25 after a long illness. Born in Liverpool, England, December 3, 1866, he was a son of the late David and Margaret Mitchell Hall. In 1878 he came to the United States with an uncle, Robert Mitchell, with whom he made his home and attended the schools at Williamsport, Pa. As a young man he moved to Mahaffey and for several years was employed at the tannery. In 1901 he transferred to the New York Central Railroad as an engine hostler, which occupation he continued in until his retirement in 1937. Mr. Hall was very active in civic affairs, and served for many years both on the borough council and on the school board. In May 1893 he was united in marriage to the former Myrtle Cunningham who survives him together with these four daughters and three sons: Mrs. Carrie Notley of Punxsutawney; Mrs. Joy Culp of Altoona; Mrs. Isabelle McKee of Mahaffey; Mrs. Grace Ecelberger of Reynoldsville; William R. of Mahaffey; David of Glen Campbell and Harry of Burnside. Surviving also are 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held from his late home at Mahaffey Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 7, at 2 o'clock with Rev. Theodore S.
