    3. Hello - I am descended from WILLIAM ( WILHELM ) STEINLEIN, husband of MARIE VOSS - William's daughter JOHANNA STEINLEIN is my Maternal Grandmother - she married PAUL TATE 1898 in Clearfield, their daughter ELIZABETH TATE is my Mother. I am researching the STEINLEINs, back in Neubrandenburg, Germany.... and am trying to determine when and where WILLIAM died- it appears he was listed in the Clearfield Directory in 1905, but was gone by 1906-7 Directory, but there is no record of his death available, and MARIE is still living on Bigler St...... do you have any information about the Death of WILLIAM STEINLEIN ?? Do you know if he moved to Plainfield, New Jersey, after PAUL TATE and JOHANNA moved there about 1905-06, with daughters Ruth and Elizabeth... ? PAUL came down ill in 1909 and died, leaving Johanna with 4 small children, and I wondered if perhaps William went to help her... but I have not found him listed there...... WILLIAM emigrated to America first in 1883, he went back to Germany 1893 and returned with Marie Voss- her son emigrated with wife and 2 small daughters Christmas 1899, thru' Ellis Island......
