Hi All, It has come to my attention that I need permission to start a roll call. This is interesting as this has never been requested of me before. I posted the surnames to three lists as these are the counties that I am working in. Many times I see that things that are posted going to all three sites. All of the replies to my post have been very kind. I even received a very kind reply from the Cambria County Administrator telling me that I need to post to a specific area on that site with my surnames. I appreciate the replies very much as after 35 years of research I am hitting brick walls and need to find a new way to add to my research. If I have offended anyone by my post I truly apologize. Edith: I see that no one has responded to your email, so I will. A "roll call" is where you post the surnames (usually direct lines) of ancestors you are researching in a particular geographical area, time frame, etc. It CAN be very beneficial in finding bits and pieces of information as well as living relatives, but usually the administrator of a list will make the call for a "roll call" if he or she determines one is needed or there are multiple requests for one.
