Looking up information on Johann George Schimmel. My grandmother, Sarah Jane Kyler Murray is a descendent from his daughter, Christina. However internet research on LDS indicates she is a daughter of Christina and George Kyler. Problem! Christina would have been 55years old when Sarah was born. I believe an intermittent marriage must have occured and Sarah Jane's father was Joseph A. Kyler meaning she was Christina's granddaughter not her daughter. Any information on Joseph Kyler or Johann Schimmel or would be greatly appreciated. Hoping to hear form the Kylers or the Schimmels. Thank you - Sue

Hi, I'm not a Kyler or a Schimmel, but what little info I have on Sarah is that she is the daughter of Joseph Kyler (age 41) and Hannah Hommacher (age37). I have her birthdate as 1843. The 1850 Census for GIrard, Clearfield, PA dated 14 Aug 1850, has Joseph & Hannah on the bottom of one page and the children on the top of the next. They are listed as: Elizabeth, age 16 Levi, age 15 George, age 12 Benjamin, age 11 Richard, age 9 Sarah J., age 7 James K., age 3 Joseph, age 1 Hope this helps.
