    2. Linda: Thank you for responding. Everyone has been very helpful back there in Pennsylvania. The names are Lottie Grady, b 1893 at "Three Runs" ,PA, daughter of Dennis Grady and Kathryn "Katie" Conaway. I'm getting the idea of what Three Runs was/is, but I'm still not sure what a "run" is. Thanks again for your help. Tim Nelson in Crescent City, California ---- "Linda S. Matthews" <genrsch@verizon.net> wrote: > Tim. I searched many sites and could only find it on an 1895 Clearfield County map. Does anyone know what Three Runs was - Township, village etc.? Where can I write to possibly find the history of Three Runs? It was/is in the North East corner, above Karthaus. Any information would be appreciated. > > > >Thanks, Tim Nelson > > > > > >------------------------------ > > > >To contact the PACLEARF list administrator, send an email to > >PACLEARF-admin@rootsweb.com. > > > >To post a message to the PACLEARF mailing list, send an email to PACLEARF@rootsweb.com. > > > >__________________________________________________________ > >To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to PACLEARF-request@rootsweb.com > >with the word "unsubscribe" without the quotes in the subject and the body of the > >email with no additional text. > > > > > >End of PACLEARF Digest, Vol 1, Issue 32 > >*************************************** > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to PACLEARF-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Tim, To the best of my knowledge and the way it's used here in west central PA, a "run" is a stream or creek.
