JOHN L. BAUGHMAN John l. Baughman, one of the oldest residents of Boggs township, passed away at his residence Monday morning, Oct. 10th, at 1:45, aged 71 years, 3 months and 10 days. Death was due to a compilation of diseases following a stroke. Mr. Baughman was born June 30, 1856, a son of the late Andrew and Ann Baughman, of Decatur township. He was united in marriage with Miss Ella M. Beers on June 29, 1882, who survives him, together with the fol - lowing sons and daughters; A. Grover, of Clearfield; George, at home; Thomas L., of Blue Ball; Mrs. Lillie Baughman Gearhart, of Juniata, Pa.; Mrs. Sadie Baughman Gearhart, of Elmira, N. Y., and Mrs. Waiva Baughman Clawson, of Paunxautaw - ney, Pa. Three brothers and one sister also survive. They are Thomas, of Osceola; Joseph, of DuBois; Jacob, of Decatur township, and Mrs. Sarah Woolridge, of Woodland. Mr. Baughman was an active farmer in his earlier days but for the last several years was unable to follow farming by reason of illness. He was an active member of the U. B. Church of which he had been a member for forty-five years. Funeral services were held from his late home on Wednesday, Oct 14, at 2 p. m. Rev. B. J. Hummel, of Clearfield officiated, assisted by Rev. R. P. Rauch of Blue Ball. Interment in Mock cemetery at Blue Ball.
