Hello, I was at an antique store today and happened upon 2 old family photos that were actually identified! I couldn't leave them there, so I bought them and am now hoping to find their rightful homes. Both are old postcard-type photos. Here is the info: One, postmarked Nov. 1911, shows three sisters and a friend. The sisters are identified as children of John R. Miller. Two are named--Zella Miller and Mary Miller or, it could be Mary Miller Hambley or Mary Miller and Hambley Miller--hard to tell the way it is written, if there are 2 or 3 girls identified. The youngest girl has "mother" written over her dress in the picture--obviously added later. This card was mailed by John R. Miller of Raney, Clearfield Co., PA, to his brother, Merl Miller, Glasgow, Cambria Co., PA, and includes a note asking Merl (sic) to check out cow prices. The second card was not mailed, but is of two infants who are identified as Billy and Bobby Miller, twin children of Merle (sic) Miller, brother of John R. Miller. John R. Miller is identified as the photographer on both of these. Please email me if you are related to these people. I paid $2 for both of these, so I would be happy to part with them for that +postage. I don't understand how old family photos end up in antique stores, but at least these were identified! Mona
Hello, List, I have located TWO relatives for these photos (see below)in about 24 hours! One in PA and one in TX. The photos were found in WI! I also found a person who may have add'l info for the family, so they will all be put in touch. Meanwhile, I am unsubbing from this list, as I really have no other info for PA. If you need to reach me about these photos, please email me privately at cowpost@msn.com. Thanks!
