HENDERSON Blair L. "Jiggs" 61, New Florence RD 1 died Feb. 7, 1986, at Lee Hospital. Born Aug. 5, 1924, in Fairfield Twp., son of late Winfield and Agnes (Morgan) Henderson. Preceded in death by son, Blair Jr., and several brothers and sisters. Survived by widow, former Olive M. Betts, and these children: Dennis E., Charles B. "Butch" and Thomas J., all of New Florence RD 1; also six grandchildren. Brother of Dale, Trona, Calif., and Erwin, and Agnes Caldwell, both of New Florence RD 1. Member of West Fairfield United Presbyterian Church. Charter member of Fairfield Volunteer Fire Company, where he was fire chief for 25 years. Member of Ligonier Lodge 331, F. & A.M., and Coudersport Consistory. Army veteran of World War II. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Speidel-McCracken Funeral Home, Bolivar, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Walter White. Interment , Fairfield Cemetery. Fairfield Volunteer Fire Company will meet at funeral home at 8 p.m. Saturday. Ligonier Lodge 331, F. & A.M., will meet at funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Clifford Henderson Former Fairfield Fire Co. chief was honorary fire chief, forest fire warden D. Clifford Henderson, 61 of Ligonier, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002 in his home. He was born Nov. 5, 1940, in Fairfield Twp., Westmoreland County, a son of the late Graham and Nettie Henderson Ankney. He had been a weigh master for R&P Coal, New Florence. He attended Oak Grove Church of Christ. He was former fire chief and recently was named honorary fire chief of Fairfield Fire Co. He was a member of the Ligonier Masons, Westmoreland County Fire Chiefs, the Ligonier Twp. Sportsmen and was a forest fire warden. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step father, John E. Ankney, and two sisters, Wilma and Donna. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sherry L. Pechart Henderson; a son, Kent G. (and wife, Laura) of Ligonier RD 2; a daughter, Mrs. Brian (April) Holzer of Latrobe; a granddaughter; a brother, Ernest, New Florence RD 1. Services were held Monday in the Oak Grove Church of Christ with the Rev. Charles P. Burd officiating. Interment was in the Fort Palmer Cemetery.
