Elizabeth Jean Johnson Employee of Toyad, Chestnut Ridge Foam, member of Fort Palmer Church Elizabeth Jean Johnson, 72 of Bolivar RD1, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002 in the Wedge-Hart Manor, Fairfield Twp.. She was born Sept. 6, 1929 in Fairfield Twp. Westmoreland County, a daughter of the Late Charles A. and Lyda Snyder Knupp. Prior to retirement, she had been employed for 30 years by Toyad and Chestnut Ridge Foam. She was a member of the Fort Palmer Presbyterian Church, Fairfield Twp. She is survived by a daughter, Linda L. Knupp of Bolivar RD 1; two brothers, James William of Latrobe and Charles J. of Beaverdam, Va., and a number of nephews. Services were held Saturday in Ligonier, Rev. James Tomb officiating. Interment was in Fort Palmer Cemetery, Fairfield Twp. Memorial donations may be made to the Fort Palmer Church or a charity of one's choice. ============================================ J. Robert Hite Former Bethlehem Steel supervisor, St. Clair Township supervisor for 6 yrs. J. Robert Hite, 77, of Seward died Monday, June 9, 1997 at home. Mr. Hite a Bethlehem Steel supervisor for 38 years, was born May 29, 1920 in Bedford County, son of Virgil and Myrtle Rausch Hite. He was a member of Seward United Methodist Church and served six years as a St. Clair Twp. supervisor. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Kathryn Adams Hite; his daughter Lynette, Frederick, Md.; two grandsons; three great grandchildren;Also surviving is his sister Arla Wozsnick, Johnstown; his sister-in-law Twyla Smith, Seward; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services were held Thursday at Meese Funeral Home, Seward, Rev. David Bowman officiating. Interment was in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown. ========================================================= IRWIN Luella "Patty" 88, Johnstown, formerly of Bolivar, died Jan. 20, 2002, at Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg. Born Nov. 18, 1913, in West Wheatfield Twp., daughter of late I. Wilbert and Mabel Alter Mack. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Eugene C. Irwin, in 1977; son, Joseph; great granddaughter, Millia Beeson; and sisters, Mildred Bennett, Erma Mack and Adda Anderson. Survived by son, James L. (Bernadine) Irwin, Barberton, Ohio; daughter, Marlene; brother, Warren Mack, Johnstown; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel, Bolivar, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. A. Dale Dudgeon officiating. Born Feb. 20, 1924, daughter of late Clark and Tillie Miller. Preceded in death by husband, Norman; daughter, Joyce Gates; brothers and sisters; Margaret, Helen, Alma Ruth, Mary Etta, Keith, Walter and John. Survived by children: Betty, wife of Gary Borton; Nora, wife of Kenneth Kush; Richard, husband of former Barbara Ensminger; and Barbara Carmichael. Also 18, grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Sister of Gladys Miller, Constance Dunsmore and Doris Hoover.
