A native of DuBois, she had lived most of her life in Beechwoods, where she was a member of Grove Summit Methodist Church, a member of the Ladies Aid of that church and very active in church work until illness forced her retirement. She was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah (Buzzard [should be Buzard] Curry, born October 2, 1888, and had lived in Beechwoods 27 years until five months ago when the family moved to Reynoldsville. She is survived by her husband, George F. Lerch,, three sons, Merle, of New Bethlehem, Cpl. Laverne, with the U. S. Scott, of the Reynoldsville Methodist Church, officiating, and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Garetta is my great-grandaunt. She married George Franklin LERCH who is her first cousin. He was previously married and son Merle is to his first wife, Mabel Hattie GATHERS. (Mabel's name from a family researcher.) I have some of Garetta's ancestry and info on her siblings. I would like to obtain more information on any descendants (by birth or marriage) she may have had. I don't know anything regarding Cpl. Laverne or Orval, mentioned as sons. Who are the three grandchildren. Any information on the above would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Bev in Calif.
I think I know this family! In fact, Orval is such an odd name that I'm SURE I know them. Email me privately and I'll fill you in! Mona --------------------------------- Any questions? Get answers on any topic at Yahoo! Answers. Try it now.
