The book has a Jane Long marriage to Jeremiah Clinton on July 9, 1879. As stated before this book was compiled by volunteers and they did not include more than the names and date of the marriage. I would think that to be in the book one would have the marriage recorded at the court house. My great grandmother's marriage certificate which I got from the court house by walking in a couple of years ago has her parent's names and her spouse's parents' names and occupations of the two getting married.
