I have a copy of this booklet, which concentrates mostly on WW2, and industries and people who were active in the community then. I have records of the Pike Twp schools for the year 1942-1943. My grandfather was on the school board and these were enrollment records that the state required at that time. I did already post one class to the list. I have Curwensville in Celebration of 200 years. This has more history than the 1948 booklet and was done in 1999. I have Clearfield Borough 1840-1990 like the Curwensville books, most of the history appears to be from Aldrich's History of Clearfield County with additions since his book was written. I also have Quarries of Curwensville, The People, The Legacy. This was by Ed Morgan who did much of the work on the Curwensville Celebration of 200 years. I also have Grampian Boro, Penn-Bloom Townships Bicentennial yearbook, July 1976. This appears to rely on Aldrich's and also Cora Walker's Reminisces. Cora taught school in the area for most of the 1900s, she was a good friend and co teacher with my great grand mother Dora (Theodora Helper) Wood. I also have Marriage Records of Clearfield County, PA. Most of these are for the mid 1800s. My sister who works for the Progress has the family copy of Aldrich's History as she uses it a lot in her work. She has another full time job in addition to being a reporter, so as we live in different states, don't ask me for local things. I do not know about other county small towns, but Grampian has Grampian Days about the third week of June. Each year they pick a theme and people bring in old family pictures and belongings related to the theme. This year they had a signature quit done as a church fund raiser in the early 1900s. I wish I had taken the time to copy the names, several on my relatives were on it. They had it covered with a plastic sheet and I knew that between being inside and the reflective plastic, my camera would not work so well on it. I have part of the Clearfield year book for 1915 which I copied from the one at the library in Clearfield. I have most of the yearbooks of the WW2 years for Curwensville. I will do lookup in what I have and have privately e-mailed some people in the past. Jean
