    2. All of those mentioned are NOT owned by the Mormon church. These business are private enterprises. What the church owns is the Family History Center in Salt lake City and huge vaults of information in the mountains east of the city. The Mormon Church owns MANY private enterprises and controls significant amounts of the food production industry in this country, as well as media outlets, banks, etc. They have long been the owners of Ancestry.com.
