    3. Thank you! Our genealogy society is helping nursing home residents free of charge, record their memories. I'm helping Rebecca, the daughter of Arch and Ann Johnstone record hers. She is 93 and can't remember when her family died or where they were buried. I know Rebecca would love a transcription of any of these obits. It does help her remember. Beechey, Glen Richey The Clearfield Progress, Saturday Novemver 2, 1918, page 5 INFLUENZA VICTIM AT GLEN RICHEY Thomas D. Beechey, aged 38 years, 7 months and 10 days, died at his home in Glen Richey at 11 o'clock yesterday morning, after a short illness, as a result of an attack of influenza. The deceased was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Beechey and besides his parents is survived by three brothers and two sisters. The funeral will occur Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Henderson of the Presbyterian church officiating. The Indiana Progress, Wednesday November 15, 1922, front page WEDDINGS OF A WEEK Beechey-Carney Edwin Beechey, of McIntyre, an employe of the Rochester & Pittsburgh Coal & Iron Co., and Miss Nellie Carney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Carney, of White township, were united in marriage on Thursday morning by Rev. J. A. Lawrence of the Second United Presbyterian Church, at his home on North street. The couple were attended by Miss Helen Carney, sister of the bride and J. M. Beechey, a brother of the groom. Mr. and Mrs. Beechey will reside at McIntyre. The Clearfield Progress, Tuesday October 5, 1926, page 8 SURPRISE PARTY AT GLEN RICHEY Pythian Sisters met at the home of Sister Ann Johnston Thursday evening rendering a surprise party. The evening was spent in playing games, singing and recitations. A fine dinner was served at the usual hour, presided over by our genial hostess who certainly knows how to entertain. After which each left for their respective homes carrying memories long to be remembered. Those present were Laura Jones, Alice Gill, Hannah Dix, Joe Thorbor, Hazel Harper, Lillian Patterson, Margaret Gill, Mariah Braid, Mrs. Blair, Levena Wilson and the hostess' sister, Mildred Beechey. The Clearfield Progress, Friday September 30, 1966, page 18 DEATHS OF THE AREA Florence Morgan Mrs. Florence Morgan, 70, wife of Harvey Morgan, of 332 Turnpike avenue, Clearfield, died in the Clearfield Hospital at 1 a.m. today. Born at Houtzdale Oct. 18, 1895, a daughter of the late Adam and Nettie Patterson Hutchison, her early years were spent at O'Shanter. In addition to her husband, the following son and two daughters survive: Robert T., Springfield, Ore; Clemens (Eloyse) Kramer, Corning, NY; and Mrs. Clyde (Annabelle) Thompson, Ft. Pierce, Fla. The following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Margaret Pullano, Kittaning; Mrs. Nettie Haben, Dallas Tex; Mrs. Ann Beechey, Mrs. Jessie Wynn, Mrs. Mary Reid, Gordon and Adam Hutchison, all of Butler. There are 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Primitive Methodist Church of Glen Richey. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Bennett Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Rambo officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home from 2 p.m. Saturday until the time of services. The Clearfield Progress, Thursday July 30, 1970, page 8 DEATHS OF THE AREA Mrs. Ann Johnstone Clymer - Mrs. Ann Johnstone, 85, of Clymer died yesterday in the home of her daughter Mrs. Williard Hart of Altoona. Born at Morris Run May 26, 1886, she was a daughter of Edward and Margaret (Thomas) Beechey. She was a member of the Clymer Presbyterian Church, the Order of Eastern Star and the Amaranth Queen Christine Court of Indiana. In addition to her daughter Mrs. Williard (Rebecca) Hart of Altoona, she is survived by one son, Archie Johnstone of Curwensville; three grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, one brother, Edward Beechey of Harrisburg; and one sister Miss Mildred Beechey of Clymer.     3. Lots of hits in the Clearfield Progress for Arch Johnstone. He was not only the vocal musical director at the Curwensville high school, but a counselor who made many talks about town and lead music groups at local churches. Did copy this one: Clearfield Progress, Saturday June 11, 1960, page 2 HELLO, WORLD! Mr. and Mrs. Arch Johnstone of Curwensville are the parents of a 7 lb, 4 oz baby boy born in the Clearfield Hospital at 5:21 p.m. June 10. Mrs. Johnstone is the former Alliene A.
