    1. [PACLEARF] 1850 Census- DuBois and Sandy Twp
    2. Hello! Does anyone know why I am unable to find DuBois or Sandy township in the 1850 Census? I use Ancestry.com. Can they be found in another database such as Genealogy.com? Thank you, Rhonda

    3. Sandy township was formed from Brady and Huston townships in 1878. DuBois formed from Sandy township and incorporated as a borough 11 January 1881. It originally named Rumbarger and laid out in 1872 by John Rumbarger. Source: Caldwell's Clearfield County Atlas, published 1878, page 75. Note that this is not the full title.
