>From Tri-County Sunday February 28, 1999 - obtained from the DuBois Public Library Joseph Leonard Snyder, 74, of North Tonawanda, N.Y., died Dec 2, 1998, at the North Tonawanda Nursing Home. Born Nov. 24, 1924, in DuBois, he was a son of the late Howard and Mercie Hickman Snyder. He attended the Sandy Township school system. He lived most of his adult life in the Buffalo, N.Y., area and retired from the Pile Drivers union. He was a Seabee in World War II. Survivors included two sons, Joey and Robbie; a sister, Frances Lucretta Wells; and 18 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters; Dorothy Mae Groves, Betty Jean Leach and baby Esther; and three brothers; Earl Howard, Harold Edwin and John Sylvester Snyder. A memorial service was held Dec. 11 in North Tonawanda, N.Y.
