Robert Thompson , b. 2 Mar 1786 supposedly in Lancaster County, PA, d. 23 Sep 1869 in Lawrence Twp, Clearfield County. In 1860 Census he and wife Catherine Wantz Thompson were in Knox Twp, Clearfield County. In 1860 they were in Jordan Twp, and in Fox (now Elk) in 1840 and 1830. In 1820 and 1810, I think the family is in Howard Twp, Centre County. They were married in 1807 in Centre County. Catherine b. 4 May 1786 in Potter Twp, Centre Co, d. 9 Sep 1874 in Fox Twp, Elk Co. Both buried in Mt Joy Cem, Lawrence Twp, Clearfield Co. They were Methodists. I'm seeking: 1. Obituaries of Robert and Catherine. 2. Where was Catherine in 1870 Census - I think I've looked with all the children, and for her alone and can't find her. 3. Any information about where in Lancaster County Robert may be from? I have a trip to Lancaster County this Thursday and don't know what to look for! He is not in John Humphrey's book on Lancaster County births.
