Ellinger, 90, formerly of Clearfield and most recently a resident of the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, died on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at the home. She was born July 7, 1916, in Houtzdale, a daughter of the late Emile and Josephine (Tubo) Godin. Mrs. Ellinger was a homemaker and attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield. She was a giving, loving and compassionate woman all of her life. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Coon and her husband, Clarence, of Smithfield, N.C.; two grandchildren, Lynette Brown of Jacksonville, Fla., and Daniel Coon of Smithfield; one great-granddaughter; a sister and brother, Daisy Chnupa of Clearfield and Paul Godin of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard F. Ellinger on Oct. 14, 1999; sisters, Josephine Kyler, Diven Ogden, Rachel Heichel and Blanche Godin; and brothers, Amos Godin and Lewis Godin. Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will follow at Friends Cemetery, Grampian. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice.
