Hello. Was wondering if any one had the obit for AGNES GELNETT SHAFFER? If not, would someone be willing to do a free lookup? I have the obit for her husband ISAAC SHAFFER and it lists the date of her death. It said it was on the anniversary of the DuBois fire. What was the DuBois fire? Did it destroy a large part of DuBois? anyway, Agnes Gelnett Shafferborn 1857 died June 18, either 1918(stated in Isaac's obit) or 1917 (year on tombstone) michelle will send on Isaac Shaffer's obit upon request
Does anyone have easy access to Clearfield Co. obits? I would love a copy of the obituary for Jennie Ressler, a resident of Clearfield, PA, who died in Feb. 1980. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. ~D. Thompson, California

Thank you, Jean for the information. I know where the Friend's Cemetery is, but am not familiar at all with the area. I live in Montana, only get back home to PA every couple years and I'm not originally from that area. The obit I referred to is one of Mayme Owens Dyer, daughter of John and Mary Owens. It says that the services were in the Curwensville Cemetery Chapel, does that help in locating the right one? Could someone please tell me if there is another cemetery in Curwensville besides the Oak Hill cemetery? I have an obit from April 1975 that states "interment will be in the Curwensville Cemetery." Would this be Oak Hill? Thanks, Norine
