Hello All, I just came across a nice map showing the canals and railroads of the state of PA as of 1860. I put a copy online for everyone's use so please feel free to check it out if you're interested. It's at http://www.midatlanticarchives.com Alan -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Why is there never any family or children listed in the obituaries of so many Snyder's? How ever are we supposed to find our family???? Am still searching for John & Jennie Snyder originally from Clearfield. Possibly moved to Cambria County. There was a John & Jennie Snyder that both died in the time frame I was searching for in Cambria County, but neither obituary gave any information to connect them to any families. John's did give some initials only, but nothing to go on. My nephew is a decendent of Snyders but this obit did not belong to him: 'John W. Snyder of Hyde Dies - John W. Hello All, I came across a couple of interesting items recently that I though might be useful to some of you. First a nice color map of PA showing all of the counties and the other was a book on Chambersburg in Franklin Co. that, near the beginning, lists all of the members of the PA Historical Society as of 1856. I found one possible ancestor of my own on the list (Chambers), now I just have to figure where, or if, he fits in! I scanned the first part of the book and the map and placed them on my web site at http://www.midatlanticarchives.com if anyone is interested in viewing them - the book is listed simple as "Chambersburg". It worked for me. In fact I added it to the Clearfield County USGenWeb Project page. Alice Gayley Carol Franks wrote: > Jim, > I gather that it hasn't moved yet, I couldn't find the website > anywhere on the web. > Carol >
Some e-mail programs, and sometimes AOL, will double the e-mail address, and then it isn't clickable. Look closely at the link you are trying to click and see if maybe it is showing double.
