    2. Hi Michele, Could I ask if, by chance, you might have information in your Kyler research showing that one of your ancestors may have sold land to my great-grandfather, WILLIAM WALTER CONDON, in exchange for a debt? The Condon farm was where the Lingle Tree Farm is located in Eden, Clearfield Co. Thanks very much. 2. Hi, just a short note to tell you that Melinda and Belinda Maines are the same person. I use Belinda because that is the name her father used in his will and it is the name we use as our g-grandmother in my Murray family. Thank you, Sue Carns

    3. Sue: I have an Amelia Shimmel, b. about 1856 in my notes. Her parents are John Shimmel ( son of Lewis Shimmel and Margaret Foulk) and Mary Jane Murray, born about 1831. She had siblings; Margaret, 1849 and Alexander, 1851. Information is from census. John Shimmel was also married to Ellen Larrimore? 3. The Clearfield Historical Society is very good but it doesn't open until the first Sunday in May and then they are only open on Thursdays and Sundays from 1:30 to 4:30pm. Check out their website at http://www.clfdhistory.org/ They have moved to a new location (both website and address). I think there may be someone availabe by email but I won't swear to that. By the way, I have kept digging and the 1870 census indicates that Belinda's name is Malinda; so try both names in your research. I may have no reason to have this family but my census info is up to snuff. I get a little compulsive about stuff like this but at least it keeps me off the streets. Your info was interesting and I would love it if you kept me informed of your progress so that I can figure out why I have this family in my database in the first place.
