I posted the surnames to three lists as these are the counties that I am working in. Many times I see that things that are posted going to all three sites. All of the replies to my post have been very kind.     3. Jan, I know of several places that have the agricultural schedules. I believe the National Archives has all extant schedules on microfilm. I've used the film at the Washington DC location. I'm not sure if the branch locations have copies of the film. The schedules for PA 1850-1880 are on microfilm publication T1138. The Family History Library has copies of the film also and you should be able to order the film through your local Family History Center. In the Family History Library catalog, do a location search for Pennsylvania and then pick the appropriate census year. Good luck! I suspect the name might originally have been "Glauner", but have no real proof, other than when pronounced to census tajers, it sounded like Clowner. The farthest back I can get with this name is in the 1830 census, Earl Township, Lancaster County~~Jacob Clouner/Clowner. They were apparently german, but called themselves Pennsylvania Dutch.
