    3. The Derrick, May 16, 2009: Robert B. Coxson, 515 Sugarcreek Drive, Franklin Linda Ann Gleghorn, Shippenville Marianne L. Foster Krug, 126 Electra Lane, Cooperstown Yvonne E. Strain, Franklin Robert B. Coxson, 55, of 515 Sugarcreek Drive, Franklin, died at 6:23 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2009, at UPMC Northwest. Born July 3, 1953, he was the son of Richard B. Coxson and Lettie Hummel, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married Oct. 6, 1973, to Sharlene Manning, who survives. Mr. Coxson was employed at Polk Center. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brian Coxson and Adam Coxson, both of Franklin; a very special granddaughter, Miranda R. Coxson of Cooperstown; four sisters, Bonnie Coxson and Gina Mammolite, both of Franklin, Monica Dominguez and her husband, Richard, of California and Brenda Whitman of Cochranton; and five brothers, Richard Eakin and his wife, Deb, of Cochranton, Ron Coxson of Franklin, Tim Coxson and his wife, Carolyn, of North Carolina, Denny Coxson and his wife, Chris, of Sugarcreek and Simon Mammolite and his wife Carol, of California. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Gertie Baker. Online condolences may be sent to wwwgardinierfuneralhome.com Linda Ann Gleghorn, 58, of Shippenville, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 14, 2009, at her residence. Born July 16, 1950, in Wilkinsburg, she was the daughter of the late James R. Beaver and Helen Beaver Yawczak of Ligonier. She was married in June 1979 to John W. "Chicken" Gleghorn, who preceded her in death July 27, 2007. She was retired and worked in management. Mrs. Gleghorn was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed gardening, baking and her cats. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Gleghorn is survived by three brothers, James T. Beaver and his wife, Karen, of Shippenville, Blain R. Beaver and his wife, Nova, of LaRue, Ohio, and Jacob L. Beaver and his wife, Marleen, of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Sherrie F. Dransart and her husband, John, of Jeannette; seven special nieces and nephews, Warren Henry, Hugh "Hoop" Henry, Jason Dransart, Nicholas Dransart, Paul Beaver, Linda Dean Beaver and Nicole Beaver; and several other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Gleghorn was preceded in death by her father and husband. The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion is handling arrangements. Foster Krug, 70, of 126 Electra Lane, Cooperstown, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born Dec. 31, 1938, in Holland, she was the daughter of the late Jacobus and Alouisa Binksma. She was first married to Robert L. Foster, who preceded her in death in 1977. She then was married to Larry S. Krug, who preceded her in death in 2005. Mrs. Krug retired as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with family and grandchildren. Mrs. Krug is survived by five children, Robert L. Foster and his wife, Bonnie, of Johnstown, Betty Pennewell and her husband, Charles, of Cooperstown, Cora Clark and her fiance, Robert Spangler, of Ohio, Ellen Priestley and her husband, Jeff, of Marion, Mich., and Richard Foster and his wife, Missy of Rouseville; and four stepchildren, Dale Krug and his wife, Diane, Dan Krug and his wife, Ruth, Darren Krug and his wife, Vicki, and Darlene Sottiaux and her husband, Pete, of Virginia. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Krug was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Aurey Nicholas and Oliva Rose Foster. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Morrison Funeral Home in Oil City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Philip H. Scherr, pastor of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Oil City, officiating. Interment services will be held for immediate family only at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Kirtland Cancer Foundation. Yvonne E. Strain of Franklin passed away Thursday evening, May 14, 2009, in her home, due to complications from ovarian cancer. She was married April 5, 1963, to Dennis P. Strain, who survives. She was a co-owner of Strain's Refuse Service. Yvonne was a zealous member of the Franklin congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and she loves to be involved in the door-to-door ministry, sharing her hope from the Bible. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jonathan Strain and his wife, Michelle; a daughter, Teresa Tackett and her husband, Duanne; 10 brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, in Franklin Kingdom Hall at 1410 Pittsburgh Road. The service will be conducted by Bruce Mitcham, an elder of the Franklin congregation and a long-time friend of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, P.O. Box 1026, Franklin, Pa., 16323.
