    3. The Derrick, October 18, 2008: Lucille B. "Molly" Hopper, Knox Dorothy Louise "Dot" Widenor, Centreville, Md., formerly of Emlenton Francis A. "Hank" Zacherl, Clarion Lucille B. "Molly" Hopper, 91, of Knox, died at 1:22 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at her residence. Born June 6, 1917, in Summerville, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Elizabeth McCann Dinger. Molly graduated from Summerville High School. She had been employed at Brosius-McGregor Nursing Home in Punxsutawney and at the Mountain View Nursing Home in Glencampbell. She was associated with the Presbyterian Church in Knox. Molly enjoyed gardening, crocheting and fishing. She was first married to Arthur DeLoe, and he preceded her in death in 1944. On Feb. 16, 1946, she married Ivan B. Hopper, and he preceded her in death in 1974. Molly is survived by three daughters, Mabel Miller and her husband, Clair, of Fairmount City, Donna Ishman and her husband, Norman, of Summerville, and Pat Grothpeitz and her husband, David; six grandchildren, Linda Markle (Allan) of Florida, David Miller (Theresa) of Timblin, Tim Miller (Brenda) of Mechanicsville, Keith Ishman (Patty) of Punxsutawney, Norman Ishman (Helen) of Summerville and Andy Ishman (Stacey) of Shannondale; 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Betty McLaughlin, of Clairton, Mabel Caylor of New Bethlehem and Beverly Dinger of Timblin; three brothers, Willaim Dinger of Mayport, Herman Dinger of Tionesta and Richard Dinger of Sigel; a sister-in-law, Ruth Dinger, of Clearfield; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Molly was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Smith; a brother, Harry Dinger; and a stepdaughter, Barbara Drayer. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the David C. McEntire Funeral Home Inc., 504 East Penn St., Knox. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Evans, the Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice minister, officiating. Interment will follow in Vandervort Cemetery near Summerville. Francis A. "Hank" Zacherl, 98, of Clarion died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at McKinley Health Center in Brookville. Born in 1909 in the house where he lived all his life, Mr. Zacherl was the son of Peter and Philomena Zacherl and was one of two children. Mr. Zacherl was married to Hilda Schill Zacherl for 63 years. Mrs. Zacherl passed away in 2004. Mr. Zacherl and his brother, Walter, ran an electrical contracting business in Clarion for more than 70 years. During World War II, he worked for the Navy Department in Ridgway, inspecting submarine motors. Surviving are two sons, Francis Zacherl Jr. and Lemoyne Zacherl; two daughters, Yvonne Rea Zacherl and Anita Zacherl; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Zacherl was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Zacherl. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Goble Funeral Home in Clarion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion. The Rev. Monty Sayers and Mr. Zacherl's brother-in-law, the Rev. Paul Schill of Greenville, will preside at the Mass. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery will be limited to the immediate family. Dorothy Louise "Dot" Widenor of Centreville, Md., formerly of Emlenton, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Benton Mosser and Estella Gertrude Summerson Roschy. Her husband, Paul E. Widenor Jr., preceded her in death. Surviving are three children, Linda L. Preston, Marlys E. Dickerson and Sandra J. Widenor; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
