Hefferman Stephens, Oil City Francis A. "Hank" Zacherl, West Main Street, Clarion Getting it right - Nancy J. Ritchey Robert �Bob� Matthew Lewis, 45, of West Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Oil City, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at West Palm Beach Regional Hospital. Born Aug. 8, 1963, in Oil City, he was the son of Jack R. Lewis and the late Darla Rae Sloan Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a 1982 graduate of Venango Catholic High School. He was employed as a construction worker. Mr. Lewis played basketball in high school and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He will be remembered for his laughter, jokes and great sense of humor. Surviving are his father, Jack R. Lewis of Erie; one son, Jake Lewis of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and two daughters, Alanei Lewis and Aleisa Lewis, both of Vero Beach, Fla. Also surviving are two brothers, Dick Lewis and his wife, Debbie, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Tim Lewis and his wife, Ambe, of Statesville, N.C.; one sister, Jackie Moltz and her husband, Dan, of Oil City; and nieces and nephews Mary Esposito, Amber Lewis, Jason and Jessica Lewis, Shannan and Dyron Merriweather, Danielle Lewis, Cody Lewis, Tanner Moltz and Taylor Moltz. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Morrison Funeral Home in Oil City. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor of St. Stephen Church in Oil City, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Venango Catholic High School, 1505 W. First St., Oil City. Patricia A. McGuckin, 81, of Franklin, formerly of Sharon, died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at The Caring Place in Franklin. Born Oct. 18, 1926, in Sharon, she was the daughter of William P. McGuckin and Anna C. Gassner. Ms. McGuckin was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and the Franklin High School Class of 1945. She was employed at Joy Manufacturing as a parts buyer for 40 years. Ms. McGuckin was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Franklin. She enjoyed bowling and her dog, Patches. Surviving is a brother, William D. McGuckin Jr. and his wife, Marilyn, of Uniontown, Ohio; one nephew, Michael McGuckin of Franklin; two nieces, Jane Weden of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and Jody Tully and her husband, Nick, of Columbus, Ohio; a grand-nephew, Christopher McGuckin of Farrell; and a grand-niece, Catlin Tully of Columbus, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Sherlee McGuckin; and a niece, Jan McGuckin. Friends may call at the graveyard funeral service, which will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery with Msgr. John Herbein of St. Patrick Church officiating. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Church or the Venango County Humane Society. "Jarb" Ralston, 76, of Tionesta, formerly of Masontown, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at his home. Born Nov. 14, 1931, in Edenborn, he was a son of the late Patrick H. and Esther T (Haas) Ralston. Employment with Asplundh and Penn Line tree companies led him and his family to Tionesta in 1957. Mr. Ralston retired from Cytemp of Titusville, where he was employed as a crane operator. He was a member of the Tionesta Presbyterian Church, where he previously served as a trustee. He was also a member of the Olive Lodge No. 557, F. & A.M. of Tionesta. Mr. Ralston played slow-pitch softball in Hydetown, bowled in Titusville, enjoyed hunting, and loved living his life in Tionesta. He was married Feb. 25, 1951, in Virginia to Shirley H. (Honsaker) Ralston, who survives. Survivors also include two sons, Vaughn H. Ralston and his wife, Heidi R., and S. Kent Ralston and his wife, Sheri L.; two daughters, Deb R. Forker and her husband, Pete T., of Tionesta and Sheryl R. Morgan and her husband, Brad T., of Irvine. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Pat Baillod and her husband, Christian, of Costa Rica; two aunts; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome to worship with the family at 11 a.m. Sunday at the regularly scheduled service at the Tionesta Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the church with Pastor Peter Veltman officiating. Following the service, the family will receive visitors from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in Host Hall, located in the church basement. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Tionesta. Donna J. Hefferman Stephens, 52, of Oil City, the mother of David, Bethany and Matthew Stephens and sister of Philip Hefferman, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 13, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Church of God, 11 E. Eighth St., Oil City. Francis A. 'Hank' Zacherl, 98, of West Main St., Clarion, died today at McKinley Health Center in Brookville. Arrangements are being handled by Goble Funeral Home in Clarion. A complete obituary will be in Saturday's paper. Getting it right - Nancy J. Ritchey Nancy J. Ritchey, 72, of 730 Colbert Ave., Oil City, died at 12:20 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at UPMC Northwest. Surviving Mrs. Ritchey is a sister, Edie Show, of Seneca.
