Trask, 723 Sugar Creek Drive, Franklin Getting it right Loy N. Baker: Roger Christian Anderson, 44, of 3849 Academy Drive, Utica, died Tuesday Nov. 11, 2008, at his home. Born Sept. 20, 1964, in Franklin, he was the son of the late Russell C. and Mary Parkhurst Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a graduate of Franklin High School. He was employed as a truck driver for Tri-County Industries. Mr. Anderson enjoyed shooting, reading and researching scriptures. He is survived by one sister, Cathy Kaufmann and her husband, Richard, of West Chester; one brother, Russell C. Anderson Jr. and his wife, Kaye, of Wilson, N.C.; and one nephew, Russell C. Anderson III of Wilson, N.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Roger C. Anderson Jr. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Dessie Ivabell Bechtel, 78, formerly of McClintockville and a resident of the Golden Living Center in Oil City, died there at 12:50 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2008. Born Dec. 29, 1929, in Washington Township, Armstrong County, she was a daughter of George Herbert and Freda Marie Bowser Bechtel. Ms. Bechtel had been a resident of the Golden Living Center, formerly Beverly Health Care, for many years. She enjoyed painting, coloring and embroidering, and she attended church services at Golden Living Center when possible. Ms. Bechtel is survived by one sister, Betty Brannon of Rouseville; one brother, John E. Bechtel of Clarksville, Tenn.; 12 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie L. Griffin; and one brother, James L. Bechtel. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Morrison Funeral Home in Oil City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Thomas L. DeHart, 70, of Mariasville, near Emlenton, passed away suddenly Thursday morning, Nov. 13, 2008, at his residence of natural causes. Born March 30, 1938, in West Monterey, he was the son of the late Harry Elijah and Lula Belle Bartley DeHart. Mr. DeHart was a graduate of the former Parker High School and served in the U.S. Army, stateside, during the Korean War. He was a long-time employee of Penn Power at New Castle, and he retired from there. He later became a driver for FRM Machine Co. of Emlenton, and he was employed there at the time of his passing. He was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church in Perry Township, Clarion County. Mr. DeHart enjoyed his family and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he looked forward to golfing, hunting and going to casinos. He is survived by his wife, the former Janet F. Rose; and his children and their spouses, David and Donna DeHart of Waukesha, Wis., Bryan and Jill DeHart of Beaver, Brenda and Michael Motto of New Castle, Joyce and Randy Aughton of Emlenton, Gerald "Jerry" and Shari Pipher of Battlefield, Mich., and Jeff and Gail Pipher of Parker. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, and two sisters-in-law, Charlene DeHart of Sligo and Patty DeHart of Parker In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his all of his brothers, Richard "Dick" DeHart, David "Jim"DeHart and Vernon Jerry DeHart. Mary Ann Fago, 89, of 2 Woodcrest Drive, Clarendon, died Thursday evening, Nov. 13, 2008, at Warren Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born Aug. 9, 1919, in Crown, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Margaret Gatesman McCloskey. She has resided in Warren since the early 1960s and was a 1937 graduate of Farmington High School. She also graduated from the former Hoff Business College. Mrs. Fago served during World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps. She was employed with the former Gold Standard National Bank of Marienville, Carnegie Tech of Pittsburgh in the personnel department and the former Warren National Bank, where she worked for many years. Mrs. Fago was a member of Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Fago was very active in the Warren County Pro-Life Organization and served as co-coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy benefit for 13 years. She was an avid reader. She was married July 22, 1972, at Hold Redeemer Roman Catholic Church to Frank A. Fago, who survives. Mrs. Fago is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings, Margaret Gregory, Ruth Fitzgerald, Catherine Lander, Robert McCloskey, Joseph McCloskey, Elizabeth Kurtzhals, Rose Russell, Paul McCloskey and Aloysius McCloskey. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St., Warren. A vigil service will be conducted at 4:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Kenneth George Grundan, 79, of 842 Elk St. passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, in his home. Born Oct. 24, 1929, he was the son of William and Mary Grundan Mr. Grundan had been employed by the Franklin Area School District, Franklin Hospital and Goodwill Industries. He was an active member of the Franklin Free Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering for the Salvation Army and the senior citizen center, as well as mentoring youth. Mr. Grundan was married Oct. 26, 1956, to the former Margaret Jane Buchanan, who preceded him in death on June 29, 2003. Mr. Grundan is survived by a daughter, Lois Johnson and her husband, Joseph, of Macon, Ga.; three grandchildren, Sarah Keller of New York City and Katie Dempster and Zachary Johnson, both of Georgia; and two great-grandchildren, Henry and Ripley Keller of New York. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews: Paul and Susie Buchanan, Gloria Buchanan, Ruth Buchanan, Doug and Amanda Buchanan, Jimmy Hutcheson and Benjamin Hutcheson, all of the Cherrytree area. He also is survived by a special friend, Doris Watson. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Grundan was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Grundan and Margaret Bemis. Lindquist, 91, of 353 Main St., Pleasantville, died at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Titusville. Born March 24, 1917, in Akeley, Warren County, he was a son of the late Charles and Sigrid Anderson Lindquist. He was married July 17, 1943, in Pleasantville, to Jane Benedict, who survives. Mr. Lindquist was a 1935 graduate of Jamestown High School in Jamestown, N.Y., and he also attended Penn State University. He was self-employed in the construction business, building several homes in the area, until his retirement in 1980. He was formerly employed by M.C. Strickland Construction Co. He was a member of Pleasantville Presbyterian Church, where he also served as an elder and deacon. He was a charter member of the Pleasantville Lions Club. Mr. Lindquist was an avid sportsman. He liked the outdoors, taking photographs of wild flowers and nature. He especially enjoyed the areas along Caldwell Creek in Selkirk and Chautauqua Lake. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lindquist is survived by one son, Charles T. Lindquist of Russell; one daughter, Nancy Lindquist-Arencibia and her husband, Victor, of Mt. Tabor, N.J.; two grandsons, Julian and Timothy Arencibia; one great-granddaughter, Deanna Arencibia; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lindquist was preceded in death by one sister, Violet Holm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home of Titusville, and no calling hours will be observed at the funeral home. Aletha B. Snow, 92, of 103 North 13th St., Franklin, died at 8:25 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at The Caring Place. Born Dec. 12, 1915, in East Brady, she was a daughter of John L. and Buleah Smith McChesney. She was married April 15, 1938, to Raymond S. Snow. He preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1987. Mrs. Snow was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. She was a member of the Victory Heights United Brethren in Christ Church. Surviving are two children, Fredrick Snow and his wife Judi of Lady Lake, Fla., and Pamela Tarr and her husband Charles of Newnan, Ga.; three sisters, Hazel Snow of Franklin, Lorraine Grandelis of Franklin and Shirley Pierson of Franklin; a sister-in-law, Marilyn McChesney of Franklin; two brothers, Robert McChesney and his wife Eleanor of Franklin and Eugene McChesney and his wife Earlene of Oil City. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and their spouses, Fred and Gloria Snow of Kansas City, Kan., Scott Snow of Eugene, Ore., Mike and Mary Jo Snow of Beckley, W.Va., Paul and Tammy Snow of Denver, Colo., Matt and Debbie Snow of Lady Lake, Fla., Fredy Finch III of Daleville, Ala., Tiffany and Brian Ditzenberger of Cooperstown and Robert A. Tarr II of Camp Darby, Italy; 11 great-grandchildren, Bradley and Lacie Snow of Kansas City, Kan., Joshua and Jessi Snow of Beckley, W.Va., James M. and Zachery G. Snow of Leesburg, Fla., Tailor and Hunter Ditzenberger of Cooperstown, Amanda and Stephanie Snow of Denver, Colo., and Mitch Snow of Fort Bragg, N.C.; one great-great-grandchild, Nolan Snow of Denver, Colo.; and 19 nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura McChesney and Ethel Deeter, and two brothers, Henry McChesney and James McChesney. Trask, 66, of 723 Sugar Creek Drive, Franklin, formerly of Coolsprings Township in Mercer County, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at UPMC Presbyterian of Pittsburgh surrounded by his family following complications of a recent stroke. Born Jan. 3, 1942, in Erie, he was the son of the late Roy F. and Mary L. Cummins Trask. He was married June 13, 1964, to the former Eileen Patricia Wilson, who survives. He had previously been self employed - owning and operating a used automobile dealership on Route 19 in Coolsprings Township. He previously had been a truck driver for Sloan Cement of Mercer and Titusville Supply Co. of Titusville. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Trask was an avid NASCAR and Pittsburgh Steelers enthusiast. He also enjoyed attending flea markets and auctions. He cherished his family and was particularly proud of his two great-grandsons. In addition to his wife of 44 years, Mr. Trask is survived by two sons, Roy F. Trask III and his wife, Janelle, of North Carolina and Shawn Trask of Franklin; a daughter, Traci Michaels of West Middlesex; nine grandchildren, Laci Meneo and her husband, Adam, of Warren, Allison and Brett Michaels of West Middlesex, Casey Gardiner of Warren, andHope Trask, Morgan Trask, Lance Trask, Cole Trask and Reese Trask, all of North Carolina He also is survived by two special great-grandsons, Ryland and Alexander Meneo of Warren, and one cousin, Joe Cummins and his wife, Retta, of Virginia.
