Gordon, 298 Congress Hill Road, Franklin Helen E. Kline, 57 Village Lane, Brookville Dale F. McBride, Harrisville Carole Robertson Moore, formerly of McClintockville and Seneca Mary Jane Winkler, Whitehall Road, Emlenton Mary Jo Cavanaugh, 70, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Oil City, died peacefully at home Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, following an extended illness. Born May 11, 1938, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Josephine Ralph. She was married June 17, 1961, in Oil City to Robert Cavanaugh, who survives. Mrs. Cavanaugh graduated from Oil City High School in 1956 and attended college in Pittsburgh. She worked in the Oil City area until moving to Tucson in September 1984, where she worked part-time. She devoted her time to her family friends and volunteering. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking and sewing. Mrs. Cavanaugh was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Tucson. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cavanaugh is survived by a daughter, Pamela Hepler and her husband, Foster, of Tucson, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Cara Hepler of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Charles E. Ralph and his wife, Patricia, of Dempseytown; and many other relatives throughout the area. Mrs. Cavanaugh is also survived by Joyce Beightol, a very close, sister-like friend. As per her wishes, no funeral services will be held. Her ashes will be cast into the Allegheny River at a later date. The family requests donations be made to the donor's church or favorite charity. Dorothy Hoover Felmet, 86, of North Tonawanda, N.Y., formerly of Lucinda, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 16, 2008. Born April 9, 1922, in Lucinda, she was the daughter of the late Augustine and Dora Hoover. Janice B. Gordon, 69, of 298 Congress Hill Road, Franklin, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 18, 2008, at her residence. Born April 15, 1939, in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late William A. Maul Sr. and Esther Heffernan. Ms. Gordon retired from Polk Center in 1997 after 25 years of service as an RSA. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers on TV; spending time with her grandson, family and many friends; and traveling to Carolina Beach, N.C., which was her favorite place to sit and watch the sun come up. Ms. Gordon is survived by two children, Michael G. Gordon and his wife, Patty, of Franklin, and Cindy Lou Gordon of Franklin; a grandson, Michael M. "Mac" Gordon of Franklin; and two sisters, Jean Dunlap of Jupiter, Fla., and Peggy L. Ward and her husband, Roy, of Franklin. In addition to her parents, Ms. Gordon was preceded in death by one son, William Gordon; and two brothers, Glenn T. Maul and William A. Maul Jr. There will be no visitation. Kline, 63, of 57 Village Lane, Brookville, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at her home. Born Sept. 22, 1945, in Reynoldsville, she was the daughter of Amos Reed and Agnes Carlson Reed. She was married June 17, 1967, in DuBois to John E. Kline, who survives. Mrs. Kline was a homemaker and was a member of Pleasant Hill Bible Church in Summerville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Mike Kline of Brookville; two daughters, Deborah Latta of Stockbridge, Ga., and Brenda Gallops of Pine Mountain, Ga.; and five grandchildren. McBride, 74, of Harrisville, passed away at 6:01 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Grove City Medical Center. Born July 25, 1934, in Irwin Township, Venango County, he was the son of the late Nelson E. McBride and Lucille R. Buckley McBride. Mr. McBride received his education at the Walters School in Venango County. He worked for Tri-County Strip Mining Co. in Butler County as an oiler. He later operated his farm. Mr. McBride was married Nov. 9, 1957, to Janet E. McBride, who preceded him in death July 1, 2008. He enjoyed farming and hunting. Mr. McBride is survived by two sons, David McBride and his wife, Judy, of Grove City, and Edward McBride of Harrisville; two brothers, William McBride and his wife, Carol, of Harrisville, and Victor McBride and his wife, Barbara, of Jamestown, N.Y.; two sisters, Ester Vogan and her husband, Richard, of Harrisville, and Joyce Stevens and her husband, Calvin, of Saegertown; and two sisters-in-law, Hilda McBride of Harrisville and Jean McBride of Grove City. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. McBride was preceded in death by four brothers, Walter McBride, Ernest McBride, Nelson McBride Jr. and Everett McBride; two sisters, Mrs. Chester "Marjorie" McMurdy and Mrs. Milton "Edna" Haag; and one sister-in-law, Mary Fawn McBride. Carole Robertson Moore, 73, died at 5:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Oil City following an extended illness. She had previously lived in McClintockville for 45 years before moving to Shay Street in Seneca. Born Jan. 3, 1935, in Templeton, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Mabel Lowry Robertson. Mrs Moore was a graduate of Titusville High School. She worked at Titusville Area Hospital and at Klivans Jewelry Store in Oil City for many years. She was married Feb. 7, 1959, in St. Titus Church in Titusville to Edward J. Moore, who survives. Mr. Moore currently lives at Luther Place in Oil City. Mrs. Moore enjoyed dancing, reading and crossword puzzles. Her most enjoyable time was spent loving her daughter and granddaughter. They would go shopping together and call themselves the three musketeers. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Moore is survived by two children, Lori Amsdell and her husband, Scott, and their daughter, Kelsey, of Oil City, and Patrick Moore and his wife, Eva Marie, of Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Linda LaDue and her husband, Stephen, of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Murphy and her husband, Ray, of Raleigh, N.C., and Katherine Wethli of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Reinsel Funeral Home in Oil City.
