Hagen, Stoney Lonesome Road, Monroe Township, Clarion County Heinrich Lacina, Mentor, Ohio, formerly of Franklin Ruth Schultz, 175 Schultz Lane, Franklin Beau Joseph Traister, Knox Isiah Benton Traister, Knox Verle Dwight Barrett, 73, of Dayton, Pa., passed away in an automobile accident near Worthington on Friday, Nov. 21, 2008. His beloved wife, Demona Detamore Barrett, was transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment but later joined him in death as a result of injuries she sustained in the same accident. Born Oct. 16, 1935, in Dayton, he was the son of Raymond and Olive Anthony Barrett. Both of the Barretts were members of Dayton United Methodist Church They were active in the sport of horse harness racing for a number of years, with Rosemont Student capturing the track record at Sciota Downs in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Barrett was a proud founder of B&B Oil and Gas Production Co. He took great pleasure in his past endeavors as a licensed barber operating a successful barber shop near the campus of Taylor University in Upland, Ind. Mr. Barrett was most well known for his great sense of humor, his elaborate storytelling, his great ingenuity and his unyielding love for his family and friends. Mr. Barrett is survived by one daughter, Julie Jonell Barrett of Tampa, Fla.; one son, Barry Dwight Barrett of Dayton; three brothers, the Rev. Eugene Barrett and his wife, Lorraine, of Dayton, Lyle Barrett and his wife, Lorena, of Dayton, and James Barrett and his wife, Judy, of Coraopolis; three sisters, Patricia Hetrick and her husband, Venton, of New Bethlehem, Irene B. Alyn of Cedarville, Ohio, and Paula Reedy and her husband, Herman, of Mars; one sister-in-law, Sharon Barrett of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nine nieces, 11 nephews, 19 great-nieces, 23 great-nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Barrett was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Ira Barrett. Mrs. Barrett is survived by one daughter, Julie Jonell Barrett of Tampa, Fla.; one son, Barry Dwight Barrett of Dayton; her mother, Virginia Nell Endsley Detamore of Upland, Ind.; two sisters, Lamona Miller and Berta Theone "Sis" Long, both of Marion, Ind.; one brother, Burtis Theron "Sonny" Detamore of Upland, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Lamoine Detamore; and her husband, Verle Dwight Barrett, with whom she would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 27, 2008. He was born in Pittsburgh, and he was the son of Charles Harry and Carrie Belle George Gerner. His survivors include a son, Steven D. Gerner of Tylersburg, Clarion County. Terri L. Green, 48, of 414 Sugarcreek Drive, Franklin, died unexpectedly at 6:37 a.m. Sunday morning, Nov. 23, 2008, shortly after her arrival in the emergency department of UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born Feb. 14, 1960, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Floyd Ghering and the late Lawanda Turk Ghering. Mrs. Green was a 1978 graduate of Franklin High School. She was married Nov. 3, 1979, in Franklin to Donovan C. Green Jr. who survives. Mrs. Green worked from her home in Sugarcreek and had operated Terri's Tiny Tykes Daycare Center for many years. She will fondly be remembered by all who had come to know her as a caring and loving person; most especially by the children entrusted to her care. She will be perhaps missed the most by her granddaughter, Natalee, whom she dearly loved. Mrs. Green was a ladies associate member of the Franklin Lodge #83 Loyal Order of Moose and Franklin VFW Jesse Greer Post #1835. In addition to her husband of 29 years, Mrs. Green is survived by two children, Nichole M. Sloss and her husband, Anthony, and Donovan C. Green III and his special friend, Jessica Cutchall, all of Franklin; and a granddaughter, Natalee Sloss, of Franklin. She is also survived by her father, Floyd Ghering and his wife, Lois, of Franklin; a sister, Lois Ghering of Lebanon, Ohio; two brothers, Larry Ghering and his wife, Shirley, of Stoneboro; Robert Ghering and his wife, Judy, of Meadville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Green was preceded in death by a special aunt, Phyllis Collins. In accord with her wishes, there will be no public visitation. In life, Mrs. Green always gave unselfishly of herself to try and improve the lives of others. Hagen, 57, of Stoney Lonesome Road, Monroe Township, Clarion County, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at his residence. Born March 9, 1951 in Pittsburgh, he is the son of George and Louise Constantine Hagen. He was married Feb. 25, 1984, to Kelly Stewart who survives. Mr. Hagen was a mail contractor. He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and was an admirer and collector antique cars. Mr. Hagen was a very giving person and loved his family very much. In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by three children, Bryan J. Hagen, Jennifer M. Hagen and Jamie N. Hagen, all of Clarion; one sister, Candy George and her husband, Duke, of Pittsburgh; two brothers, George Hagen and his wife, Sue, and Glen Hagen, all of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Dennis and Sandy Stewart of Clarion; a number of nieces and nephews; many friends and other relatives. Heinrich Lacina, 92, of Mentor, Ohio, formerly of Franklin, passed away Saturday Nov. 22, 2008, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby, Ohio Born Feb. 19, 1916 in Cologne, Germany, he was the son of the late Wenzel and Christina Lacina. Mr. Lacina was a veteran of World War II, having served in Africa with Rommels Afrika Korp were he made master sergeant. He was married March 24, 1950, to the former Resi "Theresa" Hilgers who survives. Mr. Lacina retired in 1978 from Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. in Franklin where he worked as a design engineer. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lacina is survived by three children, Heinrich "Bert" Lacina and his wife, Connie; Christina Nozar and her husband, Richard; Frank Lacina and his wife, Judith; four grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Allen and Nathan; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church some time in spring 2009 at the convenience of the family with burial being at St. Patrick Cemetery. The Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin is in charge of the arrangements. Ruth Schultz, 85, of 175 Schultz Lane, Franklin, died at 10:50 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at UPMC Northwest. Born Dec. 10, 1922 in Harrisville she was the daughter of the late John G. Coast and Eunice M. Buchanan. Mrs. Schultz as a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. She graduated from nursing school in Cleveland and was a registered nurse. She was married March 14, 1946 in Cleveland to Harry Schultz, who survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schultz is survived by four children, Michael Schultz and his wife, Sally, of McDonald; Michele Crisman of Franklin; Melissa Daubenspeck and her husband, Dave, of Franklin; and Mark Schultz and his wife, Ella, of Franklin. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Phaedra Crisman of Mechanicsville, Va.; Ryan Crisman of Portland, Ore.; Isaiah Daubenspeck of Pittsburgh; Elijah Daubenspeck of Clarion; Jeremiah Schultz of Seneca; Jessica Schultz of Pittsburgh; Jacob Schultz of Franklin; Eric Schultz and his wife, Melissa, of Akron, Ohio; Lynn Sham and her husband, Rich, of Greenville, S.C.; Jason Schultz and his wife, Angela, of Shippenville; and Bradley Schultz and his wife, Gennifer, of McDonald. Mrs. Schultz is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Schultz was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Alyce Anderson, and a son-in-law, Ronald Crisman. Isiah Benton Traister was stillborn at Clarion Hospital on Friday, Nov. 20, 2008. His twin brother, Beau Joseph Traister, also born on Nov. 20, 2008, at Clarion Hospital, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at DuBois Regional Medical Center. The twins are the sons of Andrew and Mindy Wiles Traister of Knox. In addition to their parents, the boys are survived by one sister, Mia, at home; their maternal grandparents, Frank and Cheryl Wiles of New Bethlehem; two maternal great-grandmothers, Rose Kroh of New Bethlehem and Lois Wiesl of Brookville; their paternal grandparents, Rodney and Carol Traister of Knox; a paternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Traister of Shippenville; aunts and uncles, Melissa and Doug Matenkosky, Melanie and Brian Longo and Angela and J.J. Pace; and three cousins, Dylan, Kellen and Kalea. They were preceded in death by their maternal great-grandfathers, Leroy Kroh and Frank Wiles Sr.; a paternal great-grandfather, Benton Traister; and their paternal great-grandparents, Charles and Norma McHenry.
