    3. The Derrick, November 17, 2008: Shirley E. DeLong, 21 Hosack Road, Jackson Center Robert Joseph Eisenman , Sunny Road, Lickingville Paul E. Smalley, 2846 Wallaceville Road, Titusville Michael Q. "Mike" Weckerly, Foxburg Shirley E. DeLong, 57, of 21 Hosack Road, Jackson Center, Jackson Township, Mercer County, died at 2:01 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh, after a three-year battle with cancer. Born Feb. 19, 1951, in Meadville, she was a daughter of Gilbert W. and Suzanne Moine Bobbitt. She was employed as a receptionist at International Timber & Veneer in Jackson Center. She was of the Presbyterian faith. She was married July 15, 1967, to Norman L. DeLong, who survives. Survivors also include three sons, Rick J. DeLong of Waynesboro, Va., Steven L. DeLong and his wife, Jennifer, of Hookstown, and Robert L. DeLong of Jackson Center; her mother, Suzanne Bobbitt of Jackson Center; a brother, Guy M. Bobbitt of Jackson Center; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, James G. Bobbitt. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Kenton Shaw, pastor of visitation at the Wayside Community Church in Findley Township. Robert Joseph Eisenman , 68, of Sunny Road, Lickingville, died at 11:50 a.m. Saturday Nov. 15, 2008, at the Golden Living Center, Shippenville. Born Aug. 31, 1940, in Fryburg, he was the oldest son of the late Miles J. Eisenman and Marie I. Eisenman Allaman. Mr. Eisenman was a graduate of St. Michael School in Fryburg and a 1959 graduate of Farmington High School. He entered the U.S. Army upon graduation and became a computer programmer for the military. He served in the Persian Gulf and was stationed in Bahrain before his retirement in 1993 as a data processor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing with his friends and traveling in his motor home. He is survived by three brothers, Thomas Eisenman and his wife, Gloria, of Lucerne, Calif., and Larry Eisenman and Bradley Eisenman, both of Fryburg; a sister, Nancy Schmader and her husband, Garry, of Lucinda; one niece and 10 nephews; and a special friend, Leigh Glenn of Portsmouth, Va. An aunt, Eileen Fletcher, and an uncle, Vince Eisenman, also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Keith, Paul, and David Eisenman. At his request there will be no public viewing or service, and he will be cremated. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Paul E. Smalley, 75, of 2846 Wallaceville Road, Titusville, died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at the Titusville Area Hospital. Born Dec. 3, 1932, in Oil City, he was a son of the late William T. and Lillian Penny Smalley. He attended Oakland High School and graduated from Oil City High School in 1950. Mr. Smalley owned and operated Smalley Lumber until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and taking long walks. He also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. In his younger days, he was a baseball player. He loved to sing with beautiful high tenor voice. Mr. Smalley is survived by six children, Sandra Vroman and husband, Richard, Amy Williams and husband, Denny, all of East Titusville, Debra Kolacek and husband, Karl, of Diamond, Barbara Medilovic and husband, Sead, of Erie, Janette Phillips and husband, Todd, of Meadville, and Paul H. Smalley and wife, Linda, of Diamond; 14 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Survivors also include a brother, James Smalley and wife, Carol, of Dempseytown; two sisters, Mrs. Glenn (Pearl) Davis of Chapmanville and Nancy Thomas and husband, Avalon "Tom," of Franklin; a sister-in-law: M. Patricia Smalley of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Frederick, William and David Smalley; and three sisters, Doris Smalley, Myrtle Smalley and Evelyn Wade Eaton. Private visitation will be conducted for the family at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home in Titusville. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Diamond Evangelical United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Blair, pastor of the Titusville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery, Oakland Township, Venanago County. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Deb Kolacek, 2846 Wallaceville Road, Titusville, 16354. Michael Q. "Mike" Weckerly, 62, of Hovey Township near Foxburg, husband of the former Nancy Hilliard and father of Robert C. Weckerly, Melissa Rena Greenawalt, Tina Ann Adams and Rebecca Lynn Neyman, passed away suddenly of natural causes early Saturday morning, Nov. 15, 2008, at his residence. He was employed at Superior Absorbents, near Eau Claire.
