    3. The Derrick, June 11, 2009: Angelo Vincent Di Mino, California, formerly of Franklin Lillie "Sally" Holmes, 4 Edgewood Drive, Oil City Sharon K. Lutz, Route 322, Cranberry Guy L. Slaugenhaupt, 630 Liberty St., Franklin Douglas R. Wright, Butler, Ky. Angelo Vincent Di Mino, a former resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, June 1, 2009, at his home in California due to complications from cancer. He was born in Indiana, Pa., and he grew up in Franklin. He married and raised his family in Warren until he and his wife moved the family to southern California in August 1972. Mr. Di Mino served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War, graduated from Clarion University with a bachelor's degree and later earned a masater's degree from Penn State. He was employed for 41 years as a teacher, education coordinator and elementary school principal, retiring in 1998 from Tustin Unified School District in California. He retired as an elementary school principal. Mr. Di Mino was known to his family and friends as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and mentor. In his earlier years he was a pilot, scuba diver, photographer, rock hound, boater and singer. He later became interested in collecting, repairing and restoring antique clocks and watches. He is survived by his wife, Sally; four daughters, Angela Parker, Annette Di Mino, Julia Morton,and Mary Boyd; one granddaughter, Amy Lynn Morton; one great-grandson, Vincent Mounsey; five sisters and many nieces and nephews. The Saddlebrook Chapel at 220 E. Main St., Tustin, Calif., handled funeral arrangements. Lillie "Sally" Holmes, 63, 4 Edgewood Dr., Oil City, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at her residence. Lutz, 55, of 9136 U.S. Route 322, Cranberry Township, died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday at UPMC Northwest Hospital. The Huff Chapel in Franklin is in charge of arrangements. A complete obituary will be published Friday. Guy L. Slaughenhaupt, 87, of 630 Liberty St., Franklin, a retired letter carrier, died at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at his home. The Huff Chapel in Franklin is handling funeral arrangements. A complete obituary will be published Thursday in The Derrick. Douglas R. Wright, 48, of Butler, Ky., passed away Monday, June 8, 2009, as the result of an automobile accident on Highway 27 North in Butler, Ky. Born May 5, 1961, in Columbia, Mo., he was the son of David Rolland and Carolyn Golemon Wright. He was married Aug. 13, 1988, to Judy M. Walt, who survives. He graduated in 1983 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in English. In 1984, he earned a master's degree in communications from Clarion University. He earned his doctor of jurisprudence in 1988 from Ohio Northern University. Doug taught as an adjunct instructor at Northern Kentucky University and Maysville Community College. He passed the bar examination in Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Doug and his wife established the law offices of Wright & Wright. He was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky on May 1, 1990. He was later admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts in the Eastern District of Kentucky and the Southern District of Ohio. Doug served as a member of the Community Corrections Board of the 18th Judicial Circuit and had served as assistant commonwealth's attorney for the 18th Judicial Circuit. On June 1, 2006, he was appointed as the commonwealth's attorney for the 18th Judicial Circuit, serving Harrison, Pendleton and Robertson counties, and he was subsequently elected to the same position. Doug was a member of Butler United Methodist Church, Fairmouth Lions Club, a past director for Legal Aide of Bluegrass, a representative for the Selective Service Board and past director for the Pendleton County Library. In addition to his wife and parents, Doug is survived by a daughter, Rachel Wright of Butler, Ky.; a son, Griffin Wright of Butler, Ky.; a brother, Daniel Wright and his wife, Rhonda, of Overland Park, Kan.; and a host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Southern Baptist Church, 309 E. Shelby St., Fairmouth, Ky., 41040. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. David Miller, the Rev. Karin Fullwood and the Rev. David Bonnell officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Kentucky United Methodist Homes for Children & Youth, 2050 Lexington Road, Versailies, Ky., 40383. The Woodhead Funeral Home in Fairmouth, Ky., is serving the family.
