Carroll, Lucinda Kathleen Love Edinger, Golden Living Center, Shippenville Kristine Fink, Millerstown Warren Evan McCool, Idlewood Trailer Park, Franklin Mary E. Perry, Brookville, formerly of Emlenton Patricia L. Smith, 426 Black Hill Road, Frenchcreek Township Aiden J. Carroll, six months, of Lucinda, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh following an extended illness. Born June 23, 2008, he was a son of Joseph P. and Julie A. Siegel Carroll. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a maternal great-grandmother, Grace Ochs; a maternal grandmother, Judy Siegel; and his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Marjorie Carroll, all of Lucinda. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles and by the family dog, Biscuit. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Bernard and Bertha Siegel; a maternal great-grandfather, Francis Ochs; his paternal great-grandparents, Maurice and Katherine Bauer and Augustin and Elizabeth Carroll; his grandfather, John Siegel; and his step-grandfather, Steve Seigworth. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Borland Funeral Home Inc. in Leeper. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.Thursday at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda with the Rev. William C. Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Children's Hospital CICU, 3705 5th Ave., Pittsburgh 15213; or St. Joseph School in Lucinda. Kathleen Love Edinger, 73, of the Golden Living Center in Shippenville, formerly of Knox, died Saturday morning, Jan. 10, 2009, at Clarion Hospital following an extended illness. Born Nov. 15, 1935, in Emlenton, she was an only child of the late George and Florance Love. She married Floyd L. (John) Edinger Jr., who preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Edinger was a homemaker and an avid reader who will be remembered for her beautiful crafts and sewing. She is survived by two daughters, Janelle Kellerman and husband, Gene, of Knox, and Karen Beck and husband, Bob, of Nickleville; three grandchildren, Stacey McCauley and her companion, Paul Miller, of Knox, Megan Holley and husband, Tim, of Sligo, and Shawn Beck of Nickleville; and four great-grandchildren, Bryan Miller of Knox and Jakob, Joshua and Jayson Holley of Sligo. Due to inclement weather, a memorial service will be planned at a future date. The William N. Rupert Mortuary Inc. of Knox is in charges of arrangements. Fink, 51, of Millerstown, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, Jan. 12, 2009. The Faller Funeral Home Inc. in Fryburg is in charge of arrangements. A complete obituary will be published Wednesday in The Derrick. Warren Evan McCool Jr., 49, of Idlewood Trailer Park, Franklin, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at his residence. Born May 29, 1959, in Franklin, he was the son of Warren Evan McCool Sr. and Dortha Stewart. Mr. McCool was employed at A. Crivelli Auto where he worked in the service department. He was a movie fan who enjoyed making model cars and spending time with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. McCool is survived by four sisters, Nora Cheers and her husband, Don, of Franklin, Justeen Hart and her husband, Robert, of Titusville, Sharon Spence and her husband, J.R., of Cooperstown, and Patty Ritchey and her husband, Lewis, of Franklin; two brothers, Sam McCool of Franklin and Ralph McCool and his wife, Carolyn, of Meadville; his special friend, Carly Kline of Franklin, and her three daughters, Megan Kline, Lexis Kline and Kaitlynn Kline of Franklin; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. McCool was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a brother, Roger McCool; and a sister, Penny McCool. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jonathan Bell of Allegheny Wesleyan Church officiating. Perry, 90, of Brookville, formerly of Emlenton, died at 8:55 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, in Brookville Hospital. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Hile Funeral Home in Emlenton. A complete obituary will be published Wednesday. Patricia L. Smith, 77, of 426 Black Hill Road, Frenchcreek Township, died peacefully at 11:10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, in her home surrounded by her family. Born Feb. 10, 1931, in Franklin, she was the beloved daughter of the late Lewis R. and Helen M. Wygant Frantz. Mrs. Smith attended Franklin schools and graduated from Franklin High School in 1948. She first worked as a cashier at the former Riverside Market of Franklin, and in most recent years she was employed as a custodial supervisor at Polk Center. She retired from there in 1990 after 20 years of service. As her health permitted, Mrs. Smith enjoyed playing cards and cooking, and she had an active involvement with the Utica senior citizens group. She also enjoyed spending quality time with her family, most especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for many years. Mrs. Smith is survived by four children, Cecil Edward Smith Jr. and his wife, Carroll, of Sandy Lake, Robert Michael Smith and his friend, Doris, of Franklin, Lou Anne Smith of Franklin, and Janet Lee Carlson and her husband, Matt, of Sugarcreek. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Cory Wayne Smith and his wife, Deb, of Sandy Lake, Dawn Marie Price and her husband, Gene, of Pittsburgh, Marci Lynn Young of Franklin, and Cody Jon Carlson, Jesse Reese Carlson and Haley Lynn Carlson; all of Sugarcreek; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Howard and Baylee Young, both of Franklin; and one step-great-granddaughter, Abby Beiter. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Lewis Frantz II of Franklin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Lynn Smith, one sister, Barbara Joan Murdoch, and one sister-in-law, Patt Frantz. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Susan Evans, Venango County VNA Hospice chaplain, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
