Hello, This Betty Hetrick obit is one name away from connecting to my family tree of Hetrick. I have military data on the Irvin and Clara listed, but what I would like to find is Irvin J's parents. Any help appreciated. Contact me at philip4@comcast.net Thanks Betty Marie Hetrick, 83, of Cherry Run Estates, Rimersburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at her home following an illness. Born Oct. 22, 1925, in Huey, she was a daughter of Irvin J. and Clara B. Shick Hetrick. Ms. Hetrick retired as a nurses aide at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Sligo after many years of service. She was a member of Sligo Church of the Nazarene. Ms. Hetrick enjoyed knitting, crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by a sister, Patty Wynkoop and her husband, Larry, of Cortland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hetrick was preceded in death by two sisters, Ludell Carr and Betty's infant twin, Audrey; and one brother, William Hetrick.
According to an obituary published in the Oil City Derrick on March 4, 1968, Irvin was born on October 24, 1895, in Shannondale, Jefferson County, PA and was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry W. Hetrick. I have no relationship here, just happened to have Ancestry's historical newspaper pulled up and thought I'd look for you. (From one Connie to another.)
