The Derrick, January 28, 2009: James Boyd Alexander, Clarion Carolyn Elizabeth Siar, 176 Olean Road, Corsica James Boyd Alexander, 52, a Clarion attorney, passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh. Born Nov. 21, 1956, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Judge Charles Robert Alexander and Jean Elizabeth Taylor Sayer and was married to Trudy Snyder Alexander. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from noon to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Carolyn Elizabeth Siar, 59, of 176 Olean Road, Corsica, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at her home. Born April 29, 1949, in Brookville, she was the daughter of Keith D. Martz, who survives in Corsica, and the late Clara E. Lutz Martz. She married Robert E. Siar on Nov. 11, 1967, in Corsica, and he survives. She was a homemaker and worked as a cafeteria aide and custodian for the Clarion-Limestone School District. Mrs. Siar enjoyed spending time with her family, working, gardening, planting flowers and baking, especially with her grandchildren In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Tom (Tina) Liebman of Brookville, Mrs. Don (Misse) Smith of Corsica, Brett Siar and his wife, Amber, of Brookville, and Bradley Siar and his fiance, Joda Schena, of Brookville; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Shirley) Semanco of New Bethlehem and Mrs. Gary "Bud" (Kathy) Bauer of Wilson, N.C. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Daniel, Amanda, Jenna and Erin Liebman, Kysaac, Kaiben, Keidon, Kothan and Kamlor Smith, and Corinne Siar; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Dahlborg of Pleasant Hill Bible Church in Summerville officiating. Interment will be at Mt.
