Baker, 57, of 2 Bushnell St., Bradford, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at his residence. Born Oct. 14, 1951, in Franklin, he was the son of the late Joseph Baker and Molly Covert Peterson of Bradford, who survives. Mr. Baker was a 1969 graduate of Franklin High School. He attended Penn State University for forestry and then Venango County Tech School, graduating in 1984 as a licensed practical nurse. He had been employed at Polk State Hospital until his retirement. He was a member of the Moose Lodges in Bradford and Franklin. In addition to his mother, Mr. Baker is survived by three daughters, Stefanie Stover and her husband, Bryan, of Winchester, Va., Danielle Logue and her fiancé, Roy Barclay, of Franklin and Alyssa Daw and her husband, Jesse, of Hagerstown, Md.; two grandchildren, Astrid Logue and Taylor Stover; and his former wife, Georgette Clark. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., Bradford, at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Max Miller, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish, officiating. Memorials if desired may be made to the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses. Velma Lee Harkless, 71, of East Street, Callensburg, passed away at 11:18 a..m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, of natural causes shortly after her arrival at the Clarion Hospital emergency room. She was known by her family as "Granny Hotwheels", and she enjoyed being with family and friends. Born May 5, 1937, in Perryville, Clarion County, she was a daughter of the late Millard Fair and Anna Kriebel Fair. She was of the Baptist faith, and she was a homemaker. Ms. Harkless is survived by her husband, Roger Adams, of Callensburg. She is also survived by two daughters, Anna Marlene Whitling of Knox and Pearl Pastilock of Shippenville; two sons, Franklin C. Neely of Rimersburg and Alfred J. Neely and his wife, Shylo, of Sterling, Ohio; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Harkless was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles H. Neely and Jack Harkless; a brother, Roy A. Fair; and an infant sister, Louella Fair. Krensavage, 87, formerly of Oil City and Sugar Valley Lodge, died at 9:20 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at Sugar Creek Station in Franklin. Born Dec. 8, 1921, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna Fyk Klos. She attended Oil City High School. Mrs. Krensavage was a member of St. Stephen Church in Oil City. She married John J. "Beef" Krensavage Sr. at St. Joseph Church in Oil City. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Krensavage worked for many years at Loblaws and at the Shoe Factory in Reno. She volunteered for many years in the cafeteria at St. Stephen School in Oil City. Mrs. Krensavage is survived by one son, John Krensavage and his wife, Missy, of Oil City; two grandchildren, Sarah M. Coyne and her husband, Mark, of Twinsburg, Ohio, and Ryan Patrick Krensavage of Pittsburgh; one great-granddaughter, Ella Rose Coyne of Twinsburg, Ohio; one sister, Cecelia Hagan of Cincinnati; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Krensavage was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen Klos and Walter Klos. Their will be no public viewing or visitation, and private funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor at St. Stephen School, will preside. Latchaw, 92, a resident of Golden Living Center in Cambridge Springs, died at 10:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at the Golden Living Center. Born July 3, 1916, in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Anderson and Mabel Troup Cotton. Mrs. Latchaw had worked as an in-home caregiver at one time. She was married to Daniel V. Latchaw Sr., who preceded her in death in 1984. Mrs. Latchaw is survived by three daughters, Judy Latchaw of Pittsburgh, Joan Rhoades of Cochranton and Denise Carroll of Erie; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a half brother, Ralph Cotton of Cranberry; and a half sister, Viola Etzel of Kane. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel V. Latchaw Jr., an infant daughter, Patricia Latchaw, and a brother, James Cotton. There will be no visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Morrison Funeral Home, 110 Petroleum St, Oil City, is handling arrangements. Walter W. Longenecker, 80, of West Chester, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, in West Chester of cancer. Mr. Longenecker attended Galloway United Methodist Church in Franklin. He loved singing and teaching, and could often be seen building and renovating properties throughout the Venango County area. Among his survivors are his wife, Kathryn Kunkel Longenecker, whom he married March 30, 1974. Mrs. Kunkel, a resident of West Chester, is formerly of Franklin. Donna L. Owen, 63, of 103 North 13th St., Franklin, died at 1:40 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at UPMC Northwest. Born Aug. 24, 1945, in Franklin, she was the daughter of William L. Mott Jr. and Marguerite W. Sutley. She was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School and Orra Jean Beauty School. She was married Aug. 29, 1964, to Donald Owen, who survives. Mrs. Owen was employed as the receptionist for Dr. Peter Thompson. She was a member of the "Welcome Wagon" and various card clubs. Mrs. Owen was very supportive while at The Caring Place in Franklin, where she spent a number of years dealing with the complications of multiple sclerosis. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and golfing, and she spent much of her time doing embroidery work. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Owen is survived by three children, Jeff William Owen of Franklin, Tereasa Dawn Dickson and her husband, Brent, of Franklin, and Shannon Jean Barefoot and her husband, Scott, of Sarasota, Fla.; three grandchildren, Darien Zuchelli of Sarasota, Fla., Zachary Dickson of Franklin and Eli Dickson of Franklin; three step-grandchildren, Tianna Lyle of Sarasota, Fla., Lafawn Barefoot of Pittsburgh and Cerria Barefoot of Franklin; and one step-great-grandchild, Ava Lyle of Sarasota, Fla. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Debbie DeGood of Newport News, Va. and Karen Latta and her husband, Robert, of New Wilmington; two brothers-in-law, David Hogue of Franklin Park, N.J., and Arnold Bish and his wife, Janet, of Franklin; three nieces, Melissa Bohof, April Lloyd and Kate Kiggens; and four nephews, Emery Bish, Michael Bish, Chris Latta and Kurt Latta. Mrs. Owen was preceded in death by her parents, her maternal and paternal grandparents and a sister-in-law, Patsy Bish. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Robert W. Born Jan. 6, 1948, in Malad, Idaho, she was a daughter of the late Owen M. and Ann Wood Harwood. She married Tom Walther, who survives. Mrs. Walther was a 1966 graduate of Malad High School. She worked at Mount Nittany Medical Center in patient accounts with 35 years of service. She was active with her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in State College. She served as a Sunday School teacher there. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Walther is survived by three sons, Troy J. McCurdy and his wife, Stacy, of Howard, Kirk I. McCurdy and his companion, Sandra, of Stockton, Calif., and Bradley Owen McCurdy and his wife, Anne, of Port Hueneme, Calif.; a brother, Randy O. Harwood and his wife, Jesse, of Payson, Utah; and a step-son, Hank Walther and his wife, Anne, of Arlington, Va. She was also survived by five grandchildren, Garrett McCurdy, Mitchell McCurdy, Logan McCurdy, Madlyn McCurdy and Courtney McCurdy; and one step-grandson, Tyson Walther.
