Second St., Oil City Harry J. Umstead, 220 Cherry Lane, Franklin Joseph E. Buckley Joseph E. Buckley, 62, of Main Street, Brookville, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Jefferson Manor in Brookville. Born May 31, 1945, in Delaware, Ohio, he was the son of Joseph E. Buckley Sr. and Katherine Jane Williams Buckley. He was married April 23, 1997, in Cebu City, Philippines, to Felicidad "Fe" Gonzales, and she survives. Mr. Buckley was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and he served in the Vietnam War. He was employed as a trial attorney for his own law office. Mr. Buckley was a member of Hobah Lodge 276, F&AM, of Brookville. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association, and he participated in drag racing. In addition to his wife, Mr. Buckley is survived by six children, Christopher Buckley, Charlotte Buckley, Elizabeth Buckley and Joseph Andrew Buckley, all of Trenton, N.J., Robert Joseph Buckley of Hazen and William C. Buckley of Brookville; one sister, Mrs. Clark (Rebecca) Huber of Chaddsford; and three granddaughters. Mr. Buckley was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Schildt officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Danville, and a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery. Eisenman, 69, of Venus, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at his home near Marble. He was born April 14, 1938, at his family home near Marble, and he was the son of Charles H. and Madeline Obenrider Eisenman. Mr. Eisenman attended St. Michael School in Fryburg, and he was a lifelong resident of the Marble-Venus area. He first worked for his father on the family farm. Mr. Eisenman bought his first truck when he was 20 years old, and he hauled coal for 13 years. Then he hauled steel for Brown Boiler Works in Franklin for three years. Mr. Eisenman then became a dealer in livestock and operated the family farm, which he continued to do until recently. He was a Washington Township supervisor for 23 years and was secretary of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Mr. Eisenman was a former member of the Oil City Cycle Club, and he was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg. He loved his children and grandchildren, and he enjoyed RFD TV. Mr. Eisenman married Judy Baumcratz on Aug. 2, 1969, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Eisenman is survived by two sons, William Eisenman Jr. and his wife, Christina, of Venus, and Gordon Eisenman and his wife, Laura, of Fryburg; one daughter, Bonnie Pearson and her husband, Tim, of Fort Leavenworth, Kan.; and five grandchildren, Katie, Ellie, Sami, Jake and Julie. Also surviving are two brothers, Charles J. Eisenman and his wife, Janet, of Fryburg, and Daniel G. Eisenman and his wife, Cheri, of Narvon; two sisters, Dolores Beichner of Fryburg and Esther Heasley and her husband, Robert, of Shippenville; one brother-in-law, Harold J. McFarland; and one aunt, Jennie Motter and her husband, Carl, of Marble. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Duane, in 1946; and one sister, Anna Mary McFarland. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Faller Funeral Home in Fryburg. A parish vigil service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Church in Fryburg with the Rev. David Poulson, pastor at St. Michael, as the presider. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Michael Church. James T. Forsythe James T. "Jangle" Forsythe, 86, of 607 Woodward Ave., Kittanning, Armstrong County, died from prostate cancer at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, peacefully surrounded by his family. Born June 3, 1921, in Motherwell, Scotland, he was the son of William A. Forsyth and Margaret Harris Forsyth. He married the former Genevieve L. Roncher on April 28, 1950, and she survives. Mr. Forsythe was employed as a machinist, and he worked for Pullman Standard in Butler and PPG Industries before retiring from PPG. He had 38 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, and he was a first class petty officer with the U.S. Navy. He served in the North African Theater. Mr. Forsythe was a Presbyterian. He was inducted into the Armstrong County Sports Hall of Fame in 1996 for his outstanding contributions to baseball. Mr. Forsythe was a member of the C.U. Club, a past member of the VFW and a member of the Polish Falcons. He enjoyed all sports, especially bowling and pool, and he also enjoyed music. In addition to his wife, Mr. Forsythe is survived by one son, J. Gregory Forsythe and his wife, Annette, of Greensburg; two daughters, Margaret Patton and her husband, David, of 742 Woodland Drive, Knox, and Jacquelyn Hathaway and her husband, Tab, of Indiana, Pa.; three grandchildren, Gregory, Thomas and Philip Forsythe; three step-grandchildren, Andrew and Alison Patton, Carrie and Chad Nicewonger and Cassie Patton; and two step-great-grandchildren, Hunter Patton and Jackson Nicewonger. In addition to his parents, Mr. Forsythe was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas T. Forsythe. 'Si' Jones Nelson Robert "Si" Jones Sr., 71, of the Grove City area, a former Pittsburgh resident, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at his residence on Old Beech Road in Irwin Township, Venango County. Mr. Jones was a dedicated and respected hardwood floor finisher for 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Frances Roedler Jones; his companion, Diana Schrello; and the following children, Mike Jones and his wife, Luanne, Brenda Jones, Marlene White and her husband, Keith, Joyce Zickefoose and her husband, Fred, Amy Pacini and her husband, Tom, Sherry Puccio and her husband, Bill, and Holly Bashaw and her husband, John. Also surviving are one daughter-in-law, Laura Jones; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Herbert P. Jones and his wife, Dolly; one sister, Andrea L. Ingram; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two children, Nelson R. Jones Jr. and Corey M. Jones. First St, Oil City, died at 12:34 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca after a prolonged illness. Born Aug. 19, 1927, in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Thomas H. and Florence I. Moyle Moore. Mrs. Loudon was a 1945 graduate of Oil City High School. She started working at Singer's Main Street Market, then Sears, followed by the Derrick Publishing Co. She retired from Oil City School District. Mrs. Loudon was a lifelong and active member of Calvary United Methodist Church, where she served on the administrative board and was the church historian. She also was a member of the Altar Guild, the United Methodist Women, the church Chancel Choir and the Farther with Christ class. She also served on the board of the Oil City Arts Council, was a former board member of the Area Agency on Aging and was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. She married Harold W. Loudon on Sept. 13, 1947, in Calvary United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death March 24, 1996. Surviving are one son, Randall Loudon and his wife, Susan, of Brockport; one daughter, Karen Taylor and her husband, Robert, of Oil City; six grandchildren, Nicholas Loudon, Jonathan Loudon, Rachelle Taylor, Meghan Taylor, Brett Taylor and Conor Taylor; one brother, Thomas H. Moore Jr. of Oil City; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Campbell; and one grandson, Christopher Loudon. Infant Makayla Corinne Magrino Infant Makayla Corinne Magrino of 10739 Roof Drive, Conneaut Lake, was stillborn Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at Meadville Medical Center. Makayla was the daughter of Vincent James Magrino and Brady Dee Lawson. In addition to her parents, Makayla is survived by a brother, Mason Gaige Phelps of Conneaut Lake; two sisters, Raven Nicole Magrino and Winter Rain Magrino of Linesville; a maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Yvonne and Richard Cottrell of Conneautville; a maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Harold Lawson and Darla Wright of Oil City; a paternal grandfather, Julius Vincent Magrino of Reno, Nev.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Natalie Dawn Osborne-Burton, 44, of 614 W Second St., Oil City, died peacefully on Thursday, Jan 10, 2008, at UPMC Northwest after a five-year battle with breast cancer. Born Aug. 26, 1963, in Grove City, she was the daughter of A.J. and Naomi Osborne of Oil City. She was a 1981 graduate of Oil City High School, and she earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in drama from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1986. She was active in community theater productions throughout her life, most recently in the role of Vera in "Mame" at the Barrow-Civic Theatre in Franklin. She worked professionally in banking and was a 10-year employee of the National City Call Center in Franklin. She will be remembered for her love of family and friends, to whose happiness she devoted her life. Her laughter, grace and passion for living were infectious to those around her. She was a dedicated member of the First Church of God in Oil City and volunteered her time with several community organizations including the Blue and White Booster Club, the Oil City Home and School Club and the Oil City Kiwanis Club. She was married to Antony Burton on July 30, 1988, and he survives She will be lovingly missed by her husband; her children, Joey, Haley and Julia Burton, all at home; her siblings, Karen Bell and her husband, Bob, of Sandy Lake, Joan Gearhart and her husband, Mick, of Georgia, Babette Osborne of South Carolina and Fred Osborne of Oil City; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Ann Burton of Richmond, Va.; and her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Morrison Funeral Home in Oil City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God in Oil City with the Rev. Brenda Snedden, the church pastor, officiating. Umstead, 57, of 220 Cherry Lane, Franklin, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, of natural causes at his home. Born June 2, 1950, he was a son of the late Alfred A. and Doris M. Warner Umstead. Mr. Umstead was a graduate of Cranberry High School. He was previously employed at CPT and Wolf's Head, retiring on disability. Mr. Umstead enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the Protestant faith. Surviving are one son, Darren Umstead and wife, Michelle, of Apex, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Zachery and Kate. Also surviving are two brothers, Ronald E. Umstead of Rockland and Alfred D. Umstead of Grove City; one sister, Sandra Sue Umstead of Sugarcreek; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Charlotte I. Umstead; and two brothers, Gary L. Umstead and Charles L. Umstead. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery.
