Zeitler, Shippenville Harry Eugene Hartzell, 77, of 29 Rhett Drive, Leesburg, Fla., a former area resident, died Friday, March 27, 2009, at Florida Waterman Hospital in Tavares, Fla. Born Dec. 23, 1931, he was a son of Melvin Eugene and Florence Augusta Confer Hartzell. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Hartzell served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Cranberry Township as a meter reader. Mr. Hartzell was a life member of the Oil City VFW and enjoyed hunting. He was married to the former Annabelle Sampsell, who preceded him in death. Surviving are three sons, John Hartzell of Leesburg Fla., Mark Hartzell of Eustis, Fla., and James Hartzell of Philadelphia; one daughter, Marjorie Tobin and husband, Richard, of Leesburg, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Robert Hartzell of Oil City; a sister, Helen Slagle of Cranberry; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Hartzell; and a sister, Nancy Lockhart. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery. Sarah B. McCool, 78, of 918 Cooperstown Road, Cooperstown, went to be with her Lord at 11:45 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009, in the Titusville Hospital emergency room. Born Feb. 6, 1931, in Townville, she was a daughter of James Calvin and Nora Southworth Matteson. Mrs. McCool drove school bus for Prichard Bus Co. and then was a driver for Baker Transportation Co., retiring from there. She was a member of the Mount Carmel Tabernacle in Dempseytown. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was married Nov. 1, 1949, to Clarence R. McCool, who survives. Also surviving are five children, Sarah Resinger and her fiancé, Richard Dick, of Clintonville, Karen Adams and her husband, Chris, of Dempseytown, Ronald McCool and friend, Liz, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Ruth Bickel and her husband, John, of Guys Mills and Jeff McCool and his fiancée, Brenda, of Titusville. Survivors also include 15 grandchildren, Scott Resinger of, Franklin, Bill Resinger and his wife, Tawyna, of Oil City, Mary Swisher and her fiancé, Arthur Nace, of Oil City, Chad Resinger and his fiancée, Celeste Berlin, of Oil City, Amanda Resinger of Jersey Shore, Chris Stevenson of Saegertown, Anthony Stevenson of North Dakota, Ronnie McCool of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Michele McCool of Meadville, Vicky Cauldill, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Chastity Bellin of Polk; Heather McCool of Oil City, Jeff McCool Jr. of Titusville, Alexis McCool of Cooperstown, and Yolanda McCool of Oil City. A brother, Arnold Davison of Ohio, also survives along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Clarence McCool Jr.; a daughter, Edith McCool; a grandson, Michael Stevenson; a great-grandson, Chad Resinger Jr.; four brothers, James Matteson, Stanley Matteson, George Matteson and Chet Davidson; and a sister Iyla Swinson. She was a daughter of Charles W. and Rose Dickey Marshall. She was born in Polk and attended Polk public schools before graduating from Franklin High School in 1937. Mrs. Miller worked at the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company for more than 16 years, retiring from there in 1981. She was member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin, the Franklin Eagles auxiliary and the Reno Volunteer Fire Department auxiliary. She was married June 14, 1947, to Lawrence F. Miller Jr., who preceded her in death May 9, 1996. Surviving are a daughter, Lauren McCauley and her husband, Henry, of Franklin; a son, the Rev. Thomas M. Miller and his wife, Tricia, Platteville, Wis.; eight grandchildren, Craig Miller of Alaska, Russell Miller and his wife, Carlene, of Alaska, Sarah Miller, of Texas, Thomas Miller Jr. and his wife, Leslie, of Kansas; Rachel Miller of Wisconsin, James Miller of Wisconsin, Mac McCauley and his wife, Leesa, of Ohio, and Stephen McCauley of Franklin. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Isaac McCauley and Jacob McCauley of Franklin and Seth McCauley of Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Toni Miller Mancini of Alaska; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Major Randall C. Miller; three sisters, Margaret Grace, Helen Ritchey and a sister in infancy; and a brother, Ralph Marshall. There will be no public visitation. Born Sept. 21, 1930, in New Castle, he was a son of Paul and Marie McConahy Stunkard. Mr. Stunkard was a graduate of Eastbrook High School, New Castle. He was employed as a carpenter with Carpenters Union Local 206 (now 268). He attended the Eastbrook United Methodist Church. He was married for 20 years to Margie Hresko Stunkard, who survives. Survivors also include a daughter and her husband, Susan and Bobby Downs of Lake Charles, La.; three sons, Thomas Stunkard and his wife, Eileen, of New Castle, David A. Stunkard of New Castle and Gregg C. Stunkard and his wife, Pamela, of Leesville, La.; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Eileen Hunt of Corry; and two step-sisters, Dawn "Cookie" Caminite and Chris Stunkard, both of Ellwood City. He was preceded in death by his parents.
