The Derrick, March 6, 2009: L. Melvin Culbertson, Shippenville Larry Eugene Rodebaugh, 2022 Patchel Run Road, Franklin Mass set for Georgia A. Niederriter Getting it right - Leon W. "Lee" Silzle L. Melvin Culbertson, 94, of Shippenville, formerly of Rimersburg and Bradford, died Wednesday morning, March 4, 2009, at the Clarion Hospital. Born April 2, 1914, in Rimersburg, he was the son of the late Verd and Jessie Carmichael Culbertson. He was married to the former Matilda Elizabeth "Tillie" Trember, who preceded him in death in 1972. The couple was married for 37 years. Mr. Culbertson built many houses in the area as well as commercial buildings including the mausoleum at Rimersburg Cemetery where he will be entombed. After the death of his wife, Tillie, he married Fern Lamborn. They were married for 20 years. She also preceded him in death. Mr. Culbertson is survived by five daughters from his first wife, Connie Mazzoni and her husband, Eugene, of Murrsyville, Patty McLaughlin and her husband, Larry, of Jasper, Ga., Janet Schake of Florida, Della Gray and her husband, Ken, of Knox, and Ella Marquette and her husband, Rick, of Knox; and 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wives, Mr. Culbertson was preceded in death by three great-great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation or public service held. The William N. Larry Eugene Rodebaugh, 61, of 2022 Patchel Run Road, Franklin, died at 6:25 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009, at his home after a brave battle with cancer. Born Jan. 2, 1948, in Franklin, he was the son of Carl W. Rodebaugh and Geraldine Detrie Rodebaugh. He was married Jan. 30, 1970, to Ethel Marie Stephens Rodebaugh, who survives. Mr. Rodebaugh joined the United States Navy in January 1965 and was honorably discharged in March 1969. He was last employed as a machinist by Faivre Machine and Fabrication of South Main Street, Meadville. Mr. Rodebaugh enjoyed his family, road trips, fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. In addition to his wife, Mr. Rodebaugh is survived by a daughter, Jennie Marie Rodebaugh Rowland; a son-in-law, Steven W. Rowland; a granddaughter, Jena Leigh Rowland; a grandson, S. Tyler Rowland; a brother, James Wesley Rodebaugh and his wife, Joyce, of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Rodebaugh is preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Morrison Funeral Home in Oil City. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Kosarek and the Rev. Sue Evans officiating. Private burial will be conducted at the convenience of the family at Reno Cemetery, Reno. Mass set for Georgia A. Niederriter A memorial Mass for Georgia A. Niederriter will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Church in Fryburg. Mrs. Niederriter, 88, of Marble, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh. The Rev. David Poulson, pastor of St. Michael Church, will celebrate the Mass. Mrs. Niederriter was buried in St. Michael Cemetery. Getting it right - Leon W. "Lee" Silzle Leon W. "Lee" Silzle: The Scott A. Black Funeral Home in Stoneboro is handling funeral arrangements for Leon W. "Lee" Silzle of Marietta, Ga., formerly of Sandy Lake and Pittsburgh, who died Feb. 5. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Sandy Lake Presbyterian Church.
